A diesel taco with a bed cap would be the only truck you would need

haha good luck with that, I've fucking given up. That has been a rumor for the last damn decade or so. such bullshit. 4runners kick major ass, they are one of the last model of toyotas that you can buy here but are still manufactured in Japan. I'm pretty sure all of their trucks sold here are now manufactured here.

no but would pick a tacoma over the 4runner, given its the exact same car just with a deferent body set on it. but that gas millage keeps me away

Would look into getting one for sure if i was going to buy a new/had the money to do so. Although I liked them before commercial.

Ya there have been rumors for a while but in 2014 dodge ram 1500 has a diesel, jeep grand cherokee has a diesel. for 2015 Nissan is adding a diesel to the frontier and chevy is adding a diesel to the colorado. A lot of companies are adding diesels so I am hoping toyota will. Especially because there has been rumors of specifics like a cummins turbodiesel in the tacoma. We will have to wait and see

When I move out of the city in a few years as of now 4runner is top of my list. A diesel would be a guaranteed sell assuming they keep it similar as in body on frame, very capable off road, moderate power, moderate size

Why get a 4Runner when you can get the...

I really want this Cummins/ Nissan thing to take off. I want Dodge to have to compete with better built vehicles instead of "haha we have cummins engines, you have to deal with our poop transmissions and interiors."

I also want to to a Cummins 4banger swap into an early Toyota pickup so bad, maybe if I ever more time and money.

Diesel, America is ready. Come on Toyota, you have been making the diesel Hilux since the dawn of time and we want it.

Shoot. I forgot you had that one up your sleeve. I concede. As a former Volvo owner (850 T5), I have some understanding of the greatness the XC70 must be.

I'm sorry, what did you say?? A Volvo?

Yes Volvo.

They are actually harder than diamonds. Volvo's are made out of a material called Volvonium, mined in the mountains of Sweden by hard-working Nordic Gnomes. After the material is melted by launching it into the sun via herring-powered rocket, the molten Volvonium is allowed to cool slightly, and is then beaten into shape by Mjolnir, the hammer of Thor.

still have my 2004 v8. Got a set of snows too and she drives like a tank out here in CO winters. Chugging along at 140k. Would recommend.

I'm liking my 99' SR5. My only complaint is mileage although I had a pretty good idea what I was getting myself into when I bought it. 33" tires and a lift don't help things much. Still debating whether to get a ski rack or a box (my parents sold my Yakima ski rack in a garage sale for $20 the week before I went home to pick it up...)
