they suck balls . i rode a pair of the 170's ....you cant turn cuz theres no side cut and the flex sucks ass and the tails are so soft it feels like your riding skiboards.....pathetic waste of 800$..... but u get 4 degree pre-beveled edges so if u ever wanted 2 make a good carve you cant

um, i dont know what you are talking about, but the sidecut is great, its easy as hell to turn on them, and the tails are stiff as hell. i love the flex of them. are you sure you skied the 4frnts? and i have the 170s.

Just because they don't make racer skis for your speed suit weraring groomer carving sorry ass, doesn't mean you have to hate them. Side cut messes you up in the park because the edges tend to hook up when spinning to and from switch.

They're stiffer than 90% of twin tips out there, and the sidecut is SLIGHTLY less than what most are used to, but they're still sick. And $800... WHAT!!! But them at Easyrider for $700 CDN.

why tell the guy he sucks? personally, i kinda doubt the skis suck that bad. BUT, i've never ridden em, so what would i know. it's just his opinion.

 
If you can't turn a ski without much sidecut you do suck at skiing.

i dont doubt he sucks. if he cant turn a ski that doesnt have that much sidecut, he sucks. and i have no idea what he's talking about with the soft tails. they are really stiff. maybe he just got a fucked up pair. i doubt it, though.

okay so the skis went that bad.....the side cut was okay but i woulda liked a little more and the pop was amazing......they felt super smooth going off jumpsand easy to butter but they kinda stuck in turns...(they didnt reallly pop out of them quickly)

see...youre wrong..they DONT have that much of a sidecut, but if youre good you should be able to adjust in the first 5 minutes and ski them fine.

ALSO...butters shouldnt be easy, they are the stiffest ski on the market. I cant really butter at all on them, and Im a fairly decent butter-er

Overall they are the best ski ever, super smooth off everything, and they dont smack onto the snow like soft skis do when you land

yea, the landings are smooth as hell. it feels so nice. and they do pop at of turns pretty well if you know how to carve well. its just a straighter ski then you are used to. and buttering is definitely not easy on them.

I desperatly want a pair thats pretty much why i gave my tm's to my dad. ive been skiing for the past 15 years and ive only really had 1 pair of skis with sidecut (2000 1080's) and they didnt have too much sidecut at all. people who have learned to ski in the past 5 years have very rarely learned to shift your weight and turn properly. the 4frnt is definatly not designed for the intermediate. its ment for someone who actually knows how to ski and throw your weight around. its made to go big and fast and is set up for performance at the top level , therefore it wont perform as well when skiied by an intermediate or very light rider (under 140lbs?). basically if you just want a ski you can kill all around the mountain and not worry about it holding you back then the 4frnt seems like the right tool.

Beat it like it owes you money.

i gave up on reading about halfway through but matt sterbenz was here at his hometown over crimas (lake geneva,wi ) and it was literally pure ice cuz it rained the nite b4 and they still rocked and the pop is huge on them they are sick as hell so quit bitching

AHHHHHH i havent been on NS for a day... sorry sickkid13... yea so what if the skis are stiff, that is what they were advertised to be. I mean i am like the lightest kid around and i dont mind the stiffness, i kinda like it... and what is this about carving? they carve SOOOOOOOOOOOO much better than the rossignols, i could barely hold an edge on rossis... i am doing clean, sharp turns with the 4frnts... just because you dont have a ski that will ollie for you, doesnt mean its a bad ski... 4FRNT FOREVER!!!!
