I just got in from COC, and while I was there I demoed the 4FRNT MSP 180.

Lets just start off with one word - solid. The ski is ginormous. With dimensions of 122 x 92 x 108 this is the size of a pow ski. It rides like a tank - super stable. For me, it was rough to carve in the beginning (not used to such a huge ski) but after a while i could carve fine. These skis are super fun to ride. Being so large you can straight line just about anything and just float over all sorts of stuff.

So we know the skis are stable. But what about stiffness. Yes these mothers are stiff. The maple core extends into the tip and tail with p tex sidewalls - giving a nice even flex. So I don't know why someone would say they are like Lines cuz thats not the case. And if you think Sterbenz copied Armada. Wrong again, this idea has been brewing for a long time. Being so wide rails are great fun, the pop is nice, you can ride anything with them pretty much (save maybe moguls).

But overall - its a ski that is strong and stable and solid.

Sterbenz told me that in coming years look for pro models and more specialized skis. I think 4FRNT is a solid ski with a solid base for growth. He also would like to get emails of the mountains your think he should go to and the shops he should support. Winter road trips will probably be in order so stay tuned.

i got an e-mail from sterbenz he says that they are working on 2 other models that are gonna be done before the season starts, he also said that they are working out deal with steele spence, but no other information at this time, ill update you guys when i get more info

Yeah, they can't really talk about who they're looking at for their team because most of the riders are currently under contracts for other companies. Matt and Joe told me though that they probably will announce a team in the next couple of months.

 
if he hasnt already contacted fresh sports in calgary, he could try that freshsports@canada.com they are freeride only ski shop, and were the first shop to carry armadas, and steve the owner is awesome.

like Matt (onedoorboy) said, they will announce soon. They hope to have it ready so by the time the first set of winter mags come around, they're set and ready to announce the team.

Good review on the skis, it's all true.

And about the promodels- they're hoping their flagship team riders can pretty much each have their own pro model. That assures that the riders love their skis, and us consumers will each have a wide variety of skis to choose from, for each skiing style.

best graphics ever. think about it, you look at 1080 graphics from a distance and it looks like silver alien diahrea b/c its so ornate. 4FRNT just has simple, plain, clear graphics. no crazy robots or extra crap. just a plain simple super functional ski.

yeah, i kinda like the sinmple graphics. also i saw steele ridin them all around the glacier so he is prolly fixin sumtihn up with 4FRNT. they look sick but i tihnk only like 300 pairs are being made.

yah, steele was riding them, and doing everything on them so i'mg oign to have to agree that they are a good solid ski...adn we all know that steele ysed to ride bumps, and that talented kid could ski an entire line with no poles and a video camera in hand no problem...so i'm thinkin that you could ride bumps on em too. the only questoin that's left really is what boot and binding company would go in on sponsorship with the riders...hmmm...cuz steele said he didnt' think atomic would be up for that haha...uhhh that was a long post. sorry guys.

im really considering getting them for out west... they seem sick for powder and park, i just dont know which size i would get cause i ride the 161 1080... so im guessing i would get the 160's... this company is really going off its pretty sick that so many people have heard of them already.
