4frnt warrenty

Today, my first day of the season at boREAL, my edge ripped out and down the length of my ski. Anyone had experience getting something like this warrenteed? I was able to hammer it back in, and then it happened again.

Uhh go back to your shop.. if you were hitting the rails boreal has up (which i presume you were) don't tell them. 4frnt, or any company for that matter, doesn't have a warranty that protects against rails. Just tell them they sold you a defective ski, and 4frnt should send you some new ones.

I didn't read your "I bought them from 4frnt" post.. just take them to a local shop anyway.. I think that if a shop carries are brand they are responsible to deal with that brands warranty issues, even if you didn't buy the product from them.

If you got them directly from 4frnt just get in contact with whoever hooked you up and let them know what happened. The guys there are really down to earth they should be able to help you out. How did you get the skis in the first place? through a hook up card or something?

4frnt warrenty sucks, i broke my tnk's after 2 weeks , send them to the company, 2 weeks later i received the same broken skis by the mail, with a letter from 4frnt saying that my skis were not under warenty because i did rails with them. wtf?? arent they made for that

according to manufacturers, Skis are not made to hit rails. They are made to be on snow. We just use them on rails and other jibs, because we have found it to be fun as fuck.

yea they are not really made for rails.

I am pretty sure Armada will cover rail damage, and there are a few others out there, but most companies won't

I talked to 4frnt today, and they said that my warranty was up last month. Which kinda sucks, because I didnt get to ride them last year until december, and I my first day on them this year was november 15th. The guy I talked to was really nice though, and understanding, he just said there was nothing he could do about it, but he promised he would talk to those higher up about it.

These things should be somewhat debatable, I feel. first day, (2nd run) of the season, not even hitting a rail, the edge should not rip out. I could fix it, but that is going to cost more money, and then the skis will be janky and shit.

Straight from Armadas warranty policy:

[*]Excluded from coverage under this warranty are the following:

[*]Skis mounted more than once. More than one recognizable mount voids this Warranty.

[*]Damage caused by misuse, abuse or neglect.

[*]Impact damage caused by rocks, stumps, dumpsters, parking lots, rails or any other contact with a surface different than snow.

I'd really like to know who has had experience with a company that actually warranties rail damage? You get a season out of your skis while hitting rails and you should be pumped.
