4frnt skis suck!

ive had some 4frnt tnks for 2 years and they've been preety good, no bad damage only a small core shot other then that there good

If you hit rails, every ski is going to eventually fail. 4FRNT makes a quality product and Sterbenz is one of the hardest working nicest guys in the industry. Some people just don't know how to take a joke.

Lol, you're kidding right? No disrespect to line since their skis really are fun to ride, but their durability is shit. My invaders were so beat after a season on them, edges ripping out of the tips and tails, delam on tips and tails, parts of the bases falling out, top sheet chipping down to the core, too many edge cracks to count. And pretty much all of my friends that used to or currently ski invaders are running into the same problems.

You're kidding right? You rode the skis for an entire season, if they are still in any way skiable that means it is a decent ski. It is impossible for any ski to withstand the rigor of todays park skiing. As far as this thread, 4frnt does not make the most durable ski. Their edges do not have notches and fall out very easily and continue to rip out once they start. They use abs sidewalls which are brittle and tend to crack and fall out under abuse. And their build quality seems sketchy sometimes, as in I have had STL''s where the tip spacer overlaped the sidewalls. I expect any pair of 4frnts I buy to fall apart but I continue to buy them because tramdock and the 4frnt outlet make the skis rediculously affordable. I would rather buy two or three pairs of last years ski than buy a pair of this years ski when every pair is just going to fall apart. It is rediculous that people complain about a park ski falling apart, none the less the cheapest ski the company makes. And to whoever said the quality of 4frnts varies from park to all mountain/powder skis you are retarded. You are most likely not hitting rails or icy landings on your VCT's. I'm sure if you just mosied around the mountain on your TNK's they would not fall apart either.

Don't even start this shit with me, you have no idea what you're

talking about. And it's funny you mentioned TNK quality without

hitting rails or jumps, because I have experience with that too. In

fact, I have about 15 different stories about different 4FRNT skis for different uses.

Same thing happened with me. I only had these skis for like 2 years or so and they were amazing at first. and now like just the other day i landed a jump a little to hard the edge just ripped out. Everyone else i know with 4frnts have the same problem with the STL's

whoa.

why so much hate man? have you ever met either of them?

i've skied with both matt and steele at camp of champions and they were both extremely nice, humble and funny people.

I skied with steele last year at snowmass on a powder day. he was skiing by himself and i noticed him in the lift line while I was skiing with my mom. I started talking to him and he invited both of us to ski with him. Please explain to me how that makes him the biggest tool in the industry...

also, nearly every ski company has defects and/or durability issues in certain skis in thier line. that said, my friend had his TNK edges ripped out but after bitching to customer service multiple times, they sent him a new pair.

either way, i'm stoked to get my CRJs in the next few weeks.

generally, i would agree.

but abangs are def really bombproof. i've never heard of them delaming or breaking

but in all other areas nines beat lines.

You are a complete tard. Have you met either of them? Sterbenz is one of the biggest influences in the American smaller brand movement like Liberty, Moment, Surface and many others. He was unhappy skiing for a Euro brand that didn't give a rat's ass about what American freestyle and freeride skiers wanted in a ski. They are so ingrained in their race heritage and it wasn't until he started 4frnt that you could get a twin tip that actually skied well. He's one of the nicest guys I have ever met, as well as Steel. Yea, the TNK isn't that great for park. But to say that they are fags is ridiculous. Suck a dick you homo. Don't talk shit about people that have done more for this industry than you could ever dream of. Don't talk shit about people you have never met either. Get the fuck out.
End of rant...

i strolled into the 4frnt headquarters saturday and matt walked right up to me and gave me a tour. he was laying up the materials on the new renegade and showed me a few finished pairs. he also showed me the new crj and ehp's. gave me next years catolog and a handfull of die cuts. this experience made me that much prouder to ski 4frnts.

i took a pic of the crj, ill post soon

I just got my CRJ's two days ago. Skied the second day on them today and both have been powder days but the base has been pretty low so there's lots of stumps and rocks exposed. I know i hit a few of both and the bases held up better to those hits than my Salomon Guns would.

its my 4th year on my tnk's and the edges are only just starting to come out. And they ride amazing, by far my favorite ski...just sayin.
