4frnt skis suck!

4 frnt is gay because they have they are repped by the biggest tools in the ski industry and by that i mean

Fag 1- matt sterbenz

fag 2- steele spence

2 skiers that thankfully no longer film on the reg and make our sport look gay.

2nd research your products before making purchases if you had posted i gladly would have told you through friend experience that they fall apart like no ones business but, they do have a decent warrenty program and will most likely send you another pair.
3rd it is not just the price points i have seen this happen with stls and tnks all in the same shit happens
 
I've heard stories about Sterbenz being a prick, but what gives you the impression Steele is a tool?
 
i had some STL's a few years ago and after like 2 weeks the whole base started separating from the actual ski under foot. called them up and talked to sterbenz and he sent me another pair no questions asked for free. it happened again after that he again he sent another pair free.
again the 3rd ski started delaming but by this time i just said fuck it, piece of shit skis anyway, but they were the lightest skis ive ever ridden, pretty flexy too.
 
First, I've talked to Sterbenz a fair amount and he's not a prick. He's a super nice, down to earth guy. Maybe others have had a different experience. Second, I have broken 5 pairs of Salomon skis. Isn't Salomon top of the line? My third pair of 1080's broke on the 1st day on them, 3rd jump of the day. It wasn't a very big jump, just landed back seat a little and they were gone. It happens. I've never ridden 4frnts, maybe they are a little bit weaker. But it happens with a lot of big companies as well.
 
I used to have a pair of 4frnts, and I found that they were EXCELLENT on jumps. But I wasnt feelin it on rails. but just an opinion.. and yeah geartalk :P
 
hating on companies that do everything they can to help our sport grow in the right direction is the cool new thing to do.

Get a ski that actually won't fall apart after a day...like the 08 suspect...sarcasm.

Get yourself some lines or armadas.
 
There is a thread up right now about some kids Armada's that are falling apart too. Just about every ski company has a hate thread on NS!
 
salomons has had some major durability problems in the past, particularly last year to my knowledge. doesn't surprise me you've had some of those problems.

and as for the OP, warranty that shit. i've heard nothing but terrible things about 4frnts anyway.
 
my STL's lasted 2 seasons of excessive abuse just fine until the edges came out. i dont know why people love to hate 4frnt, but theyre a solid company that makes a pretty good ski if you as me.

and matt sterbenz is a really nice guy. not sure where all this e-hate came from.
 
True. I dont know about lines. my friend has the abangs and already on one of the skis, he put a good sized hole in the tip base and the topsheet and the base at the tip are splitting, it maybe just the abangs but who am i to judge.
 
i know some guys on abangs and are quite hard on them urban rals in the park the seem to hold up quite well
 
No disrespect and this isn't a smart ass answer, but for some reason I just thought they went under when the economy "collapsed"?
 
i had a pair of stl's that lastest a few months but started seperating, sent sterbenz a email and he told me to bury them half way in my front lawn and use them to launch shit at cars.

nope theyre still alive and killin :) henrik vanular mik d on the team but fo real theyre doooope dest skis ever iv got a pair of 08 comtes and iv trashed em on urbans/rails/concrete/ice jumps nothin not even an edge crack. tho old ones were poopy but not the new ones
 
i love my stl's, they are an awesome ski

i dont hit rails with them because i prefer making turns

they are holding up well with no problems and over a season of use

rails ruin skiis, if you cant understand that you are always going to be pissed off, yes you can find durable rail skiis but they will ride like shit imo

 
Ya but there is some huge disparity in the quality of their park skis and the quality of their big mountain skis. It's too bad, because they ride very nicely.
 
I have a pair of crj's and they kill it in the pow and everywhere else.I think that 4frnt's pow line is different quality from their park line cause my skis are amazing.
 
my 4frnt tnks have lasted really well. after a full season and a month this year of a lot of rails there are only a few cracks in the edges.
