4frnt MSPs

Im thinking about dropping the money for some MSPs soon but I dont know how they will do in the bumps. Im moving to colorado next year so ill probably be spending less time in the park and more in fresh snow and aggressive bump runs. Im 6' and 180lbs. I ride volkl v ski twins from '01 and they are beat up and re-drilled twice.

Do you think it would be smarter to wait for next years models to come out? Thanks for any advice you can give me.

 
i ride the MSP's (180s) and being 92 mm underfoot doesn't exactly make them the quickest ski in the bumps.....i'd tell you how they were in pow but it hasn't snowed here in weeks.....i got them more as a bc/pow ski (since i already have a torn up pair of fischers) but they are FAR superior to my fischers in the park, and since it hasn't snowed here in a while, thats all i've been riding. i'd recommend the ski, but not as a bump ski. if you still want to support the company though it sounds like the steele spence pro model will be a little less thick underfoot which will help in the moguls. i absolutely love the msps's though, they just aren't that great of a mogul/ice ski. hope that helps

colorado blows right now... this is one of the worst winters i have seen in a while, and ive live here 17 years (my whole life) even though i cant remember the first couple years... but ya, we need snow bad. its snowing right now as i type this, but the most that has actually accumulated is 1.5 inches. total bummer.

this winter has sucked a lot. we need more snow. hte msps work just fine in the bumps for me. really nice in the pow too. best all around ski

wistler is having one of the best yrs in a long time. and msps would be a horrible ski for bumps. and u r gay for skiing bumps. the skinnyer the ski the better for bumbs so go buy some cross county skis and mount those puppies for the bumps. bumps bumps. u r gay. bumps

i know! it sucks. i was at keystone last weekend and tried to ski some trees but it was all logs and dirt

as much as i dont like perpetuating the hate, people that say skiing bumps is gay, they are just the ones that are stuck in the park all day. just because its hot right now doesnt mean you should limit yourself only to park riding.

tons of new school skiiers used to race bumps and thats part of what made them so good, if you know anything about skiing i dont have to list them.

 
yeah it needs to snow here because i'm getting really sick of being a park rat....especially since i STILL suck in the park

i spent the whole day this saturday in the park at keystone. i kinda am glad the snow sucks, cause i learned C rails, another flat, and most of the S.

^^yep MSP = what you said... also, im working on that s rail to, i cant make it to the second curve, but i can feel it coming. how about the BBQ rail, that thing is huge, ive only seen one person do it, and it was a snowboarder (he just 50-50 it)

^yah 5050's are more sketch though once you get on bigger rails.....my buddy is an absolute rail murderer but he's refused to 5050 ANYTHING since the day he learned boardslides

i agree, but you need to see the BBQ rail to understand, i want to say that it is at LEAST 20 ft tall (rainbow) its pretty large in compairison to other stuff out there. what cool though is during the night skiing at keystone they can light it on fire because it has a gas line running down the middle of it. dont know if thats too good for your skis, but it looks cool.

FOR SALE: 1 pair 1080's (171) and 1 pair shut the hell up...
