What do they mean about Rockwell edges? Are they good in quality, don they hold up good?

i have the 03-04 MSPs and they've done fine for me. of course i have minor edge cracking and dents due to rails and the occasional rock. but they're way better than dynastar edges. thats for sure

Yes they are more durable, it is a kind of steel and is a lot more stronger.

yeah mine have seen two years of rails and they have a few cracks underfoot but no real separation (yet).

Rockwell is actually just a scale that measures the hardness of metal. So a rockwell 48 is dieefernt than a rockwell 60. There is no such thing as a rockwell edge and it is a marketing ploy. They are no different than any other edge. Sorry.

 
ive had my yellow 1080s for 3 years and rail all the time on them. ride through creeks and all that shit. the only edge problem i had is when i hit a rock and it dented my edge up. thats it. ive grinded logs with nails sticking out of them and lots of shit. i think skis are jsut made cheap now

i had MSPs the first year 4frnts came out and i really liked the ski but my edges cracked a lot! but it was still a good ski. they probably have that fixed or i just hit too manyt hings haha. my lines have no cracked edges at all though which is nice

2 cracks after a year of solid abuse on my msp's. for the beating i put on my skis, thats a pretty good performance. the 1080's i got before those have a collective 2 feet of edge left on them, so the 4frnts definately hold up better.

 
are teh new msp's any better?
