4FRNT EHP 186 question

Does anyone know if the 186 EHP lands well switch in powder. I know it has a pintail-ish design but i wonder if it can still stomp switch in deep stuff.

I haven't skied them, but I'm pretty sure they're a charging ski, not really meant for tons of switch riding

If you want more of a backcountry-jib ski, take a look at EP pros, hellbents, or Bacons

the 186 EHP is slightly rockered so it could be decent for switch landings. It's the only size EHP that has the rocker in it.

ok so when Sterbenz was here at my place of work doing a clinic on the new line and explained that the 186 was the only one that is slightly rockered he must have been mistaken.... Not fully rockered, its got the early rise in the tip.

I mean he should know what's up right?

It was explained to me that every size other than the 186 have zero camber, but are not reverse camber. Probably not that much different.

my understanding, which could be wrong, is

193 is no camber but has a little longer rising tip that coudl be considered rocker-esque/early rise i would say.

190 is slight camber

186 is rockerish with more of a pintail design for sinking the back and floating the front

they went through a few redesigns throughout the year I think before production so the shapes out there are probably a little bit of a mixed bag as far as pre-production goes.

whatever they are they definitely look dope as fuck, I wish the 4Frnt shop form was wayyy more expensive than other companies or I would have bought a pair of those 186's

that is the truth. i really want to try them out at least. i hope the rep in mammoth has them mounted up.

bump... i'm extremely pumped on getting these skis next year, any word on switch in pow with these babies?

there not a freestyle ski, and there not really rockored. there zero cambe so in powder, there is a slight early rise, but very subtle. get the vct if you want to do some switch riding.

I've fondled them in shops, and the tail doesn't seem to be very high. I'm sure they'd be fine switch in groomed stuff but in pow I'd be pretty paranoid that they would catch. I'm sure it's possible, but the EHP does not seem like it is meant for switch pow riding, more so charging like someone mentioned.
