might be asked many times before but are the deadbolts COMPLETELY made of metal??? Any one put em to the test yet??? I need some solid bindings.

what about the shit that actually holds the heel and toe on, the plates the screws go through..... metal??

Yeah.. the mounting plates are metal. Most all of the binding is metal. The only plastic you'll find is on the top cover.. which is really strong too. The bindings are bombproof! Jibij didn't have a single one come back for warranty last year. They're sick and are the same price whether its the 412, 614, or 816.

$269 isn't a lot considering you probably won't need another binding in the next 5 years.
So what, I know someone who broke some new S914's. Shit happens, bindings break.
