because they have 4frnt on em and its a brand ne type of binding supposedly. they have the lock out feature on em which locks out your toe piece when you land in the seat.
well vist makes race bindings and the vist bindings are the 4frnt binding and as we all know race bindings hold together like no freakin other so i don't think that any one really has to worry about these bindings being crappy simply because we all rely on fks185 p18 s916 (fis)
'kevin whyed nils pull you out?' 'Cuz i was touchin bitches.' 'No seriously why did he put scott in for you.' 'Scott doesn't touch bitches.'
the heel pieces are going to break between the screws...not enough support there, just like marker heel pieces...expect the metal base plate to be fractured within 50 days if your skiing hard....
Like I said, they are the same thing as the nordica bindings. check out the pictures I posted, they didn't even try to change them, besides the colors.
i have ridden on them. such a nice binding. the most solid binding i have ever used in my life... no joke i felt soo stable on them... no play in the toe piece like salomons...soo nice... but yea...300-400 idk thats a lil high... maybe 250... then they would sell like hotcakes!
I love how since 4FRNT stamped their name on them they are the most bad ass binding in the world, but if they said Nordica or Volkl on them they would be the biggest pieces of shit ever and no one would ever be caught dead riding a pair of them.
But I guess no one ever claimed this was a gathering of intelligent individuals.
^your right...but I would most definetly buy it for that reason. 4frnts name on it links it with a company that has proven themselves to produce quality gear. Nordica never had that trust in our part of the industry.
who do you think bought line bindings? do you think the average person is going to walk into a store and see a goofy pair of bindings and think hm.......never heard of them and they're so different from conventional bindings. Do you think they know what line is or what they stand for? I'm not trashing line but they are the first "core company" to come out with bindings i personally think that line has got the best idea to save your acls and that they should have done some more R and D before they were released
'kevin whyed nils pull you out?' 'Cuz i was touchin bitches.' 'No seriously why did he put scott in for you.' 'Scott doesn't touch bitches.'
pf u have only ridden on saloman and the 4frnts... so of course it will be the best, and becasue saloman bindings suck, i liked line and look personally, marker isn that bad either
ive had the 4frnt bindings for about six months now at first i was a little skeptical but after getting them dialed in i do enjoy knowing that theres really no possible way these thigs are gonna pre release on me. Ive skied on just about everything out there and these are for sure worth it.
My point was that Nordica had the same exact binding 4 years ago and everyone ragged on it. Now 4FRNT puts their name on the side of it, offers a higher DIN version and it is now suddenly the greatest binding in history.
vist has been making a solid binding for years, and 4frnt is a core, rider owned ompany that knows what freeskiers want, i personally think that this is the best possible combination for a binding manufacturer, i think this will be one of the best bindings on the market, and i would trust it before pretty much anything else
you know why no one spoke of vist bindings before??? Yes kaf is right nordica did have the rights to them for the US a few years back but they did;nt have the same bindings that frnt has now they were a lower model with a different toe piece and a heel piece with no where near the elasticity. Vist is a company that doesn't do heardly any business in the united states there was an opportunity for them to move into another market and build there company by working with frnt they just like any other company with half a brain, (marker,Look, tyrolia, salomon(all companys that sell there bindings to other manufactures to put other names on them) Jumped at the idea they aren't trying to push a bad product on anybody but it is a race tested product that people have been using on the world cup for over ten years now the orginally started by making plates for race skis, these plates are not the most renowned plates in the industry and most world cup skier are skiing on them. Its an awsome product one of the best out there who cares what it looks like lets look at how it performs i'll be the first to say its a heavey set up but with the deadbolts it works awsome. Ive got about five pairs of skis and they all have the deadbold plate on them so for 350$ ive got a binding that goes onto all five pairs of skis not a pair of binding for each. Don't knock it till u try it especially you kaf
