I don't know how you managed to keep the thread title exclamation mark free... must have some serious self control

 
its a very well done trailer, chill song, but the skiing in it left me underwhelmed(compared to what was showcased in the atomic and rage teasers)...the movie should be sick...hopefully
 
Considering the budgets of the trailers that have already dropped, the movies behind the trailers in previous years for these production houses I was pleasantly surprised by the 4bi9 showing.

High five 4bi9 for keeping the track fresh and decidedly 50cent free. Refreshing.

I even found myself saying.. "..damn." And thats it.

 
Is it just me or has the filming improved this year?

Just watched the Quicktime version, I really liked it. Looks like a lot more BC too

 
im still unsure if i want to pick this up. between Massive, Such is Life, Hunting Yeti, and 44 days this is just not standing out a hell of a lot to me
 
Maybe I'll search for the teaser someday in the future and this thread will pop up and i'll have a link. thanks for your positive contribution. why post if you got nothing to say?
 
they seem to have a lot of great photos, so i think it would be great if they had a photo part or integrated them in somehow.
 
you can go either way with the teaser, but i think its pretty safe to say that the movie WILL have some insane riding, there's really no way it couldnt... and as stated above, the filming looks like it's seriously improved. interested to see how it turns out for sure.
 
I dont think you can put them in the same catagory, the budgets that those movies all have are waaaay more than what 4bi9 has, hell Im pretty sure that they didnt even have sleds until last season for filmgin.
 
Atomic Budget/support: an entire ski company backing it.

Rage Films: People like the Crist brothers who have sponsors that give thousands upon thousands of dollars.

4bi9: Broke ass college kids with their own money.

and we Didn't even have sleds this year. Some people rented sleds for one day, and it was a shitty snow day so they just fucked around..... So yeah.... any BC you see is all hiked. Sometimes carrying a dolly a mile up a mountain.
 
its very flattering to be put in in the same category with those other companies but really, like rich said, we had NO budget. This was all our money going into it. No sleds, lots of hiking, TONS of EPIC shots.
 
never mind the fact 4bi9 is andrew napier with a camera and 44 days is kris ostness backed up by one of the largest ski companies on the planet.

that had amazing camera work, and you know a lot of the best shots were left out.
 
And mostly AJ Dakoulas. Kid worked his ass of this year. never once bitched about waking up super early to hike, or staying out til 4 am at handrails. respect.
 
Andrew went to school at UBC this year. Aj did most of the filming himself. Napes did do some trips and got some ill shots however.
 
I was actually really impressed by the trailer (obviously the best shots were left out), this is going to be a must buy for sure. I thought the camera work and editing was sick also
 
for all of those who are wondering where the sick shots are: you've seen 4bi9 before..OBVIOUSLY there are gonna be epic, mindblowing shots,which werent included in the trailer. The main thing that impressed me in the trailer was the attention to detail in the editing
 
im sure there are going to be epic shots, the movie will be way sick, and i understand these kids are working on a tight budget, but
i was kinda hoping for a attention grabbing shot in the trailer, like cosco's dub cork 12 in the rage trailer

trailer was fresh2dethh. stoked for the movie.the fuck is fresh2deathh, THIS IS FUCKING SKIING YOU CLOWN and considering those fools cut everyone at pc and ski around like they are so much better because they are 4bi9 and then drop a teaser that has sick editing but the skiing doesnt back there shitty attitude up and just makes them look like even more fucking idiots, though it was funy to see them in powder this year and see how much they cant actually ski compaired to stomping a 20 foot flat box. bottom line is this = ns makes such a big deal about them dropping a teaser and they do nothing but talk themselves up and then the teaser isnt sick at all minus tom who is the only reason for 4bi9 to even have the name it does. eat a dick

they should have had a trailer like daft punks, i wanted one like daft punk, or at least make it as gangsta as Technine's shit .

After reviewing it again i give it 2 THUMBS DOWN.
 
I thought it was fuckin sick, and I may actually buy the movie this year. How can you say there weren't any good shots in that teaser? And that song isn't pussy, DEL is the man.

I'm not gonna hate. The trailer was sick! The skiing was dirty! And I'm amazed with the shot quality, especially compared to "Look it Up". Is there gonna be another Boston IMAX premiere, because that was fun.
 
hahaha, from all the footage ive seen this year, not even a tenth was in the teaser... oh and maybe one banger shot. you guys will be blown away by the movie and the fact that all this was done (as rich and kutcher said) with very little/no budget. aj and the rest of 4bi9 are the hardest working skiers out there and probably have the most fun while doing it.
 
I dont buy very much but Ill probably buy this movie just to help out their budget. plus I gotta back a perfects kid.

I'm not about to wait 10 minutes to hit one of those flat boxes you mentioned, when we can just keep the park flowing an less congested. And you watched us ski powder? Creepy... must've been lurking around Grizzly. How the fuck do you "ski around like you're so much better than everyone else"? Do you not want us to do tricks anymore? We'll all just do straight airs so we don't put out that vibe. fuck progression.

If you live in PC why don't you stop hiding behind an alias and let us know who you are. i'll personally roll up to your mansion and kick you in the teeth. wooordlins.

 
Sorry for the rant. I want people to have their own opinion... I don't care if you don't like the teaser and won't buy it.... but you don't need to talk shit about people personally. We all know Tom is the best skier in 4bi9, but without 4bi9 Tom wouldn't be what he is. And each and every person who we ski with has a part in what we're all about. Giving Tom all the credit is bullshit. Give it to TimZilla.

But for real, Im so confused as to why people are hating. AJ made a teaser without one single banger and it was still sick. I thought people would notice that the shots weren't meant to be the best....its a teaser. Oh well, i hope the people who didn't like it realize that the movie will be pretty banger....just my opinion
