True story. Sorry, I personally think its just an excused to smoke ridiculous amounts of weed and waste money.
 
I agree somewhat, like people make a really big deal about it buts it's pretty cool that it even caught on enough to become a holiday for stoners.
 
Waste money? Sucks for you man. 420 for us is more than just smoking a bunch of weed, I smoke a bunch of weed everyday. Its all about smoking with as many different people as you can for us, kickin with your friends you haven't seen in a while. Its a good reason for everyone to get together and have a good time. Definitely not more overrated than any other holiday.
 
the best part is my friend forgot friday was 420 and said that he would smoke me out on one day of my choice this week for like no reason!
 
Well, seeing how i smoke usually on a regular basis, and seeing how i don't deal, and seeing how a track is 50 bucks here, it is a waste of money. I know kids who will go through a track themselves on 420. Maybe if i got to ski it would be worth it. I just seen no point to smoke mad blunts or whatever on some day that has a unknown meaning(dont say you "know" because there is no true fact). If i want to smoke a blunt, im not gonna just do it on 420 because it ZOMG STONER HOLIDAY ill just smoke a blunt.
 
Yeah, I see what your saying. Just depends on what type of person you are I guess. I also smoke on a very regular basis, so that aspect of 420 eludes me. But getting together with all your crew, all the ones you havent seen in months, and just relaxing and blazin, talkin about old times, thats what makes 420 enjoyable for me.
 
420 has a larger political meaning though. At almost every university/college/high-level government building there is a congregation of pot-heads to smoke. I know at my university I will be on campus smoking amongst hundreds of others, in order to make a statement about the wide-spread use of weed in our school.
 
It's just like another celebration, except it commemorates an illegal substance, which gives it some political meaning as well.

Here in Vancouver, a few thousand people gather up at the Art Gallery every year, there are concerts and speeches, never been but I heard it's really awesome. Too bad I have 2 fucking exams that day.
 
for me, 420 is just any other day. i respect other people who want to smoke on that day and think that its absoutley funny to smoke on a day made for weed. i acknowledge it but i dont participate. id rather smoke when i feel like it. not just because of a certain date.

plus im swing dancing friday. id rather not get high

word. Thats what smoking weed is about but people dont understand it. especially if they have never tried it. All most people know is what they hear on the news and from their parents about how bad weed is. And those fucking above the influence commercials need to stop.

Im gonna light up a few blunts on 420.
 
No....420 is all about the good times, not overrated.... And well for the waste of money..it would suck to be you, and have to pay 50 bucks..

i think it is overated because there is not much to back it up as a holiday. just because someone started saying it and it became a popular trend does not give it the right to become a holiday
 
i smoke on fridays. 420 is on a friday.

i think it is a more of a fun little holiday than too serious, kind of like halloween or april fools.

i will be partaking though

Money don't matter when you're burning, sometimes you gotta buy stuff. And at least theres a day dedicated to it, theres no Coke Day is there? Im gunna hang out with a bunch of firneds and just smoke a lot, it'll be legit.

Think you just needed a little bit better hook up, If I lived in the states I would help for sure

I get 50 grams of really good homegrown weed for like 220$ over here, usually split it with a friend or two and that lasts me for maybe a month or so...

Or just grow it yourself now, I just figured that this thread is 11 years old lol

Can you get too high? Well here is a good day to find out. I rolled a 16g blunt a few years back. It was worth it, but I won't do it again
 
Wow talk about ancient shitpost. 4realtho 4/20 isn' significant. For some reason it usually ends up being the day I don't even get a chance to smoke. I've had impending drug tests for jobs 4 out of the last 6 4/20s.
 
I remember one year Park City had closing day on 4/20 and that was the last time they'll ever allow that lol. I remember the fire department and scummit county police showing up
