Hey everybody. So this year Robert77 and myself (Brentizzle) decided to create some sort of webisode series after we lost all of our footage from the year before that was supposed to be for a movie. We chose to make a webisode each month through the winter to show what was going down for a lot of up and coming Calgary riders. We started off not really knowing what to do or how to make a webisode but towards the end everything sort of smoothed out as we got more inspiration and input from other on what to work on.

Hope you enjoy.

We will be definitely continuing next season because we have both progressed a lot as filmers and editors and we have so many things lined up for this year. This season that is coming up will be mainly focused on the Calgary urban scene with a few BC sledding trips added in.

Just noticed i embeded them backwards. w.e.

Let us know what you think. Thanks NS.

This is so sick! See I knew shit like this had to be going down in this city but just hadn't seen any real evidence of it. This is the kind of thing I was talking about in this thread:

We need more of what you guys are doing around Cowtown. Keep it up and keep it growing. That Revy trip looked like far too much fun, making me need pow immediately.

I checked out that thread. I think the thing about the calgary ski scene is that its hard to get into if you didnt start on a team. We have an enormous crew of skiers that ski together all the time whether it be urbans or pow or park. That crew has somewhat be derived from the competition scene that most of us grew up in and therefor we all became friends and would travel to competitions together, film and just hang out.

But yeah, we plan on growing a lot this year and we are going to take everything to the next level for the 2011/2012 season.

Yeah I've gathered this is part of it. On some level it is a good thing because it does foster this lasting friendship you guys obviously have to a point where something like this 403 media stuff comes of it. But on the other hand you can't allow yourselves to get locked into these defined arbitrary cells that are cut off from all other skiers just because once upon a time there was a team that went to competitions. If you get to a point where everyone knows everyone that's as good as skiing (the noun, not the verb) can get. That was kind of the idea behind Newschoolers in the first place, really.

well 403media is actually bigger than just our skiing life (we do other freelance work) but that was just something that my friend Rob and I started last fall. And by no means are we stuck in a small group of skiers that dont branch out. I have met tons of skiers that have travelled to Calgary who we have invited to shoots and what not. I was just saying that for a lot of young skiers in Alberta (and im assuming this applies elsewhere) being part of a club is a good way to start out and meet other people that share your interest in skiing and progress from there. We have all used that foundation to create a large group of friends from all over the country. And NS helps us all out with that.

how's that road construction?

such a cool thing to have you guys, really good vibe in all the edits and love seeing familiar stuff too. keep em coming!
