Yes, i REALLY dont want to do it myself.. but 40 bucks.. i called two shops, both 40. I have to call more and see. It's 40 cause i didnt buy anything there, if i would have bought skis or bindings there, it would have been 15. :-( this sucks. but my skis are sick!

While 40 bucks is too exspensive to get your skis mounted, that is a lot cheaper than you doing it yourself, ruining a pair of skis, and having to get another pair because you thouhgt that you could do it yourself. Just pay the 40 bucks, and dont worry about screwing them up yourself.

BUT, if you do try and do it yourself, make sure you get it on video. It would be funny watching you destroy a brand new pair of skis.

^yeah. Don't do it man. You can get really hurt if you don't know what you are doing. Just pay it.

just spend the 40 bucks, its expensive, who cares, it will be worth it in the long run. Would u rather be riding all winter long, or sitting home on the couch with a fucked up ACL?

I did it before without the pattern on a pair of my beater skis. things have been fine and never had a problem with stripped screws or anything. Course, I didn't need em perfectly balanced. It wasn't that tough and I would totally go for it if you have the pattern. If they are your sweet setup I would pay the $40 to balance all that stuff out. But I do know from working in a shop that it ain't rocket science. If you wanna give it a try, drop me a line, I can give you some more detailed advice/instructions. it would never hurt to learn especially if you give it a try on some beater skis.
