3D Ski Movie Shots

How sick would it be for some of the shots in ski movies to be 3D. Ex. A skier would be grinding a rail by the camera and his skis would appear to be coming through the TV or a shot of a spin and as the skier brings his grab around it pops out of the TV. Just a thought i had this morning that i thought would be cool, could be corny though and would have to be properly done.
 
If i ever become a millionaire, the first thing i'm going to do is equip each ski crew with 3D cameras.
 
i may have heard wrong but regardless, i guess warren miller might be looking into some kinda 3d ski movie for this year?
 
Was talking with friends aobut this the other day. It'd have to be shot damn well but it would be so dope to see. Ebay apparently, has some 3-d cams for around $5000...
 
3D pictures are easy to make, with the right program it can be done in the time you take a leak....
 
you're not wrong, but you missed the point. nomens was saying 3d was a gimmick, i was simply referencing how awesome 3d freeze was in hopes you could correlate its awesomeness to that of a 3d ski flick.
 
One of the teams at jib-Vid this year tried something in 3D, pretty impressive for only 28 hours to film and edit; will try and embed below.

You need the red/green glasses for it.

The story line to that edit was really wierd, but they did some interesting after effects/CGI stuff
 
That was weird with all the multi-colored ghost images. I was about to hurl. Anyway, I vote Imax. Could you imagine how sick it would be to see something like "turbo" in Imax format on the huge screen? I think my nipples just got hard.
 
that wood be the illest thing since string cheese hahah. i see it now, now ski movies are gonna be in theaters first and everyone is gonna come out thinkin they have a ski in there eye! i wood totally go!!!!
 
exactly and if you watched half of the movies that are coming out now, the sound systems would break with the amount of bass in the ghetto ass segments x 1000 cuz of the amazing sound system. your ears would shrivel.
 
haha true that... I dont know if anyones ever been to an I-max but the sound set up is more than beastly
 
hahah 3d ski moviesim just waiting til they come out with hologram ski videos. thats going to be intenseor like a POV movie but you watch the movie with glasses on, like doing the rails and such would be pretty cool
 
Dammit, i just went to the movie theater and grabbed some Avatar 3D glasses out of the bin where you put them when you are done and they didnt work. Anyone know where i can get some? Looks like they need to have something to do with red and blue, cuz everything in the vid is red and blue.
