3D edit + win free new eg2's

Whatup guys, for the coors light mountain challenge, me and matrich had 2 days to make the most original edit we could. Mat got the idea to do a 3D edit. I was a bit sketched out at first but it actually came out pretty nice on the computer. Of course it's not perfect since we had 2 days to film AND edit the video and a budget of $35.84 for the two of us. If you guys happen to have 3d glasses with the left eye in red and the right eye in cyan you will be able to see all the 3d effects or if you take a piece of red and a piece of cyan transparent papers it would work also. If not you can still see the edit and see the tricks anyways. Now there is an online contest and the edit with the most views wins $1000. We need that money. If we win, we will give a free pair of brand new eg2s of your choice from last year to a person we randomly chose that posted in the thread. All you need to do is click on the embed link here and post in the thread saying comments or whatever on the vid. It would be sick if everytime you open the thread you click on the video to add a view. Thanks NS and helps us out. We might throw in some more random shit if we win to more people.

I actually have glasses and the 3D looked pretty dope. Very sick edit, I liked that the song was something a little different than some Biggie mash-up. Skiing, filming, and editing were all super smooth. 10/10Oh and sick Cross suit btw.

i had to watch so many tricks over again in that edit. was that a tail press to nose press on the double C boxes? fuck me that is some innovation.

sweet tricks.. Good attempt at the 3D, but I would suggest reading up a bit more on 3D and perfecting the shots. Your separation distance was too great and in some clips the vertical alignment of the 2 cameras was off so you won't get the 3D effect to work. There were one or two shots where you get some depth, but the rest just seemed to have double images that sort of hurt your eyes. Just my opinion. If you did it in after effects, look into the convergence offset setting and make sure you adjust that so your object of focus (the skier) has no red/blue surrounding it, it will be much easier to watch and might make the 3D work.
Check out this edit I made where I adjusted the convergence, you'll see the skiers in the vid are usually crisp with no double action going on.

I realize this was a quick timeline to shoot and edit and probably your first time trying 3D, but you can't always expect to just shoot with 2 cameras, apply the 3D filter and bam it works.. A lot more goes into it.

My 3d glasses didn't do anything for your edit. I just saw all the 3d parts in double. The other video that someone posted was perfect

You should try the edit in full screen and back up a bit from your computer it works better. It's true tough that the other edit works better but you gotta keep in mind that we had 2 days to do that and some of our shots didn't perfectly work in 3D but most of them do work for sure.

I agree, Im not fully satisfied with our results but a lot of the shots do work ( mostly at the end). in our defense this was our only test and they had to be done during a two day period which included skiing filming and editing.
