3ccd video cameras

3ccd video cameras, are there any camera's that people would recomend over others for filming skiing but i dont want a full size camera like the sony DCRVX2100 i want it still to be hand size something similar to the jvc GZ-MC500, does anyone have any suggestions?

 
Sony TRV900. You don't need a 3 chip though. Save your money, get something reasonable quality and cheap.
 
the panasonic dvc30 is much smaller than the vx and costs less while offering a handle and similar video performance. the bigger ccd of the vx gives it much better low light and slightly better all around performance. However the vx costs over 2 grand and the dvc30 is around 1500.

trv is good for a cheep 3 chip the cheep panasonic 3chips are good to look at the PV GS500 PV GS400 if you can get it and the PV GS300.
 
if your gonna get a 3 chip, i think you should just get a good one, because theirs no point to get a smaller one, for what ?

so you can ski with it?

if your filming and you have quality shit to film , you know you may need a tripod

sony vx1000 is awsome, id reccomend that, you can find them for like 900 or 1000 and they are better than most the ones that cost twice that much. and they are awsome for skiing, durable and well balanced for follow cams. really though any 3ccd will do fine, i just reccomend the vx1000
