360's

my first try I did barely over a 180, next try I did a little more rotation and crashed, the next try I got like a 270, then I tried one more time only with a little more speed, I tried to commit as much as possible, I did just over like a 270 and felt I got more air than the last few times, I took a bad fall, the last times on my falls my skis actually came off and it didn't hurt, this time my ski didn't come off and when I got back up my left calve and shin hurt like crazy where the top of the boot had forcefully levered into my leg somehow and I could barely ski back down, infact I was limping around for a bit. I feel like my ski popping off would completely rid of the problem, my DIN is set correctly. If you don't know what I am talking about, have you ever landed too far backseat with an icy landing and barely rode? Your boot presses hard into your calves and makes it sore where they contacted. and why can't I get the complete spin around? I think the jump is big enough because I saw someone 720 on a jump half the size.I am willing to keep trying but my crash on my last run definately left me on a bad note.

there is some hesitation and fear in those seconds coming up to the jump, I try to commit and keep my head turned as much as possible. I'll try more tommorow I guess.

i just got that weird shinbang/calfbang today! it sucks. anyway, make sure you have enough pop and don't wash out before the lip and wherever your head goes, your body will go.

just make sure your body stays in one piece instead of hucking ur head/shoulders but leaving your legs behind

Look over your shoulder

Set the spin with your arms not your shoulders

Pop forward

ANd that feeling is shin bang. It sucks

set the rotation with your arms by swinging them to the left and looking over your shoulder to spot the landing(assuming you spin leftside)

Sounds like you need more forward pressure when you take off, as long as you're set on lift off and spin on-axis the landing shouldn't be that sketchy. Try just charging into the jump with your skis a little wider than shoulder but still getting that forward steeze

My problem is I need to get the spin completely around. I'll just work on it a bit more. but it definately goes to show you that really good skiers in edits make those tricks look so much easier than they are.

But I always wonder what the pros or at least really good skiers did to get so good and make those tricks look so smoothe and with a lot of style. Do they just get a lot of coaching or do they try to throw everything until they land it and it's on film to get on their edit?

Lol I limp away from nearly very trick i try. U just gotta suck it up and keep throwing harder you'll stomp one eventually

thats your problem, you don't TRY to commit, just do it. commitment is going for exactly whats in your head 100% with no hesitation, the scariest way but the only way to stomp.

Never really understood why people are scared of committing to their tricks, you're gonna get fucked way harder if you puss out in the middle.
