How long did it take u to learn a 360 of a small-medium sized jump? did u know how to lay down fat 180s first or what?

i dont think there alike at all...knowing how to throw a 180 doesnt help all that much with 360s totally different in my opinion.....on 180s you just kind turn around i think there way easy except on large tables and such....and 360s are like an actual spinning motion.....so one doesnt really affect the other in my opinion

with 180s youre just looking over your shoulder and letting your body spin with your head, but with 360s you actually have to set the spin

what did the whales ever do for us?

actually, i learned 3's at keystone on a 30 foot table last year. i didnt think i would be able to pull it on a small jump, haha. but it took me prolly like 10 tries. i learned those before 1s on tables

I did my first 360 ever after doing a 180 3 times. :) The jump was a 4 foot kicker, haha. I did a 180 a couple times, then tried a 360. Did both of them on the first try. Doing them off something larger took a while to get used to, for a little bit i was prolly about 65% landing them...then I got a little bigger and a little more experience to nail them every time. They are totally different, too. The 180 is just looking over the shoulder and rotating your skis...(make sure not to lean forward) and the 360 I started learning by screwing the steeze and winding up my arms until i got better at floating them, hehe.

Good luck!

We'll have you dead pretty soon.

heh i know i could do 360s but im just afraid to try it....how can i shut tthat voice up and go for it?

just dont lock up in the air, stiff is bad. look around untill you see your landing, and the your head will lead you down into your landing.

don't be a pussy!!! first off, then don't think too hard about it, I know a guy that could totally do a 3 if he didn't over analyze, but he thinks too much, its just about flow and looking to complete the spin, don't overstress, in reality a 3 is damn easy if you just set the spin and keep looking for your landing

-If people don't want 'Posers' in their sport they should quit skiing and take up knitting. I highly doubt that anyone 'Poses' as a knitter. -Jibtech

i didn't have balls to do a 360 so i started with 180 and after i learned it first, it was damn hard to learn a 360. well now few years later i can do them both ways, natural and unnatural.

the first time i ever tired a 360 i nailed it, of course, the next 3 times i fucked the landing up but i never hurt. this was on a 30 foot table. the moral of the story: just got for it, the most that will happen is you fall and you get back up and you will have a better understanding of what you need to do to land it the next time. just giver.

i learned 180s first and i tryed a 3 and stuck it first try and after that i landed a little back seat and then one night i got really bad shin bang and the next day first try and all of them after i stuck my 3s. i just never wanted to have shin bang that bad. i guess the fear of pain made me want to land them

^very good advice

also, someone said about havig the balls to spin...

it probably came from doing tons of straight airs and getting to used them them, is it?

my friend has the saem problem, you just gotta be confident and go for it, and stay calm

3's are way easier then ones off big jumps im not talking small jumps

because once you initiate your spin your body will follow with 180's you gotta float it and its sometimes hard to land
