everytime i go for the truck driver i get like 3 in from the grab but i never get it any help....does it make it easier carving into it because i have seen many do this???
 
im still learning truck drivers too, but i find it really helps to flick your toes up right after you pop and also set your spin before your grab, besides that idk start stratching alot, i never really have to much trouble with grabbing my skis, i just stop spinning once i gabb them...
 
i would say they are alot easyer with corks... which you do usually carve off the lip. but i cant say ive ever thrown a truck with a cork
 
like i havent tried pullin up with my toes ill try it.....but like i go for the grab and get close but ill give it a try....it feels like im not gonna get the spin around but somehow i just do its wierd
 
If you're 15 or younger, I have some serious advice for you on this matter: stop doing truck drivers. the truck driver (aka the suck driver; the prison offering; the push it; or the pike, in competitive diving) is considered to be cool right now. However, when its novelty wears off in a couple years, it will be exposed for what it truly is: a very gay grab. So if you're young and hoping to be a pro skier in, say, 2010, then you shouldn't practice truck drivers, because by the time you're ready to be a ps (pro skier, for those who don't know what time it is), truck drivers will be a no-no.
 
Yea truck drivers look soo gay, but that being said they are a hard grab spesh to spin with. Tips would be either start streching (I coach tramp and when we strectch before class I can't beleive how many kids can't touch their toes), Or you can try and get sent to prison and play drop the soap with your cell mate.
 
mabey you should ski better noob-hole. mabey if you could get some air you could do this stupid trik no one cares about

I have fun all the time when I ski. But I don't have fun trying my hardest to do things that look gay. Why work hard to look gay while you ski, when you can look cool?
 
start grabbing it after you spon about 160 and when you get comfortable and its starts to get easy try it after 90 degrees

it will come with practice
 
how do you know that truck drivers will go out of style? can you foreshadow the future? mutes were like the first big newschool trick and they are still plenty popular
 
first off you probably arent good enough to be attempting these yet, second they only look good with CORKED spins, and im guessing you arent quite there. because if you werre good enough you would now why you cant get the grab. im admitting i cant do them, but at least i am smart enough to realize that.
 
I never really liked the look of truck drivers. I would definetly like to see them go out of style. Mutes have always looked good though, so they aren't going anywhere. It looks like the octo grab is taking over truckers.
 
just cause you dont grab doesnt mean its pencil, look at simons segment in ski porn, his giant hits without grabs are so smooth and sick
 
have you ever seen any of his video parts? hes always having fun. seriously, he throws screamin backflips and shiftys all over the place. he definately has fun and it shows in his parts
 
ive never done a 360....but i have been ripping 180 truck drivers all day today. They are easyer to learn with no poles ( please no hate, just try it with out poles, then you will know i speak the truth). Pop hard off the lip and just try and kick your head, then grab those skis. You have to set the rotation before your in the air, or else your doing it straight air style.
 
i think you just need to find the right jump. i usually try them off of the lip onto the rainbow box cus its a nice smooth one with decent pop
 
i always bend my knees first to get the grab then kick out once i have it. Not as smooth as most peoples but im not flexable enough otherwise
 
ok lets get something straight....FUCK YOU first of all......and second i know i am new to NS but your more of one than i am and your calling me a noob-hole so can it.....i was doing it off 35 footers so dont give me shit about air either
 
dont know if you know this but you dont have to grab the tips to be a truck...anywhere in front of the binding is considered a truck, even though tips look alot better, they are for gay yoga bitches
