360 help

This is pretty much my first year skiing park so I'm not that good yet. Just coming to ask for some advice on 360's. There's a pretty big booter at my local hill and I want to do 3's off it but I don't know if I should start on something smaller or just go for it on that. any other advice would be awesome too.

fuck it and huck it

just go for it and keep trying

it'll feel weird at first but you'll start to figure out how to set the spin and how to balance

if you don't have a tramp, get one or find one

being aware of yourself in the air is key

I'm likin that motto hahah. You think I should try it off the booter? Oh and I hate when I feel like I have the confidence to do it and the kid before me does a misty 7 :[. Totally kills my confidence haha

find a small-ish jump but sometimes it's easier off a bigger jump because you don't wind up as much and there's more room for error in terms of throwing yourself off axis and landing on your buttox

don't think of it as he did something better, think of it as you need to keep up a streak of landed tricks on that jump

Just jump befor the lip of the jump, start spinning and when you are in the air throw your arms the direction you are spinning. if you get scared befor hitting the jump then carve into it. It helps when your first starting to spin, just make sure you carve in the direction your spinning. Hope this helped, it helped 3 of my friends 360.

you got it. Visualize what it will look like from first and 3rd perspectives. get good at rotations on tram or just jibbing your patio. Since you dont know what to visualize i recommend watching some slow mo and regular go pro 360s for first and same but from 3rd perspective.

my first 3 was on a small ass jump i built in my backyard they are really not as hard as they seem you have to like they said above just look over your shoulder and it helped me to start with my arms wide going off the jump and then spin and for me it helped to get around faster

landed it on about my 4th try haha. Thanks for the tips everyone.
I'm rotating a bit slow though, any advice? Or should I just flex the core harder and turn my head more?

Really? Another kid upset because theres another thread with a kid wanting to know how to 360?

Its pretty easy. What always helps me is don't set it with your arms and don't wind up for it. You want to set it with your hips and you want to look over your shoulder like if you are spinning left, you look over your left shoulder.

lol. I learned 3's on a small jump. You just need to throw like a 180 but harder. Once you start to get them around you will land them.

Yup, kid can't 3 but hes sooo steezy manngg. Fuck you quit fucking him in the ass. I wouldn't hate if he was just looking to learn and didn't think he was the shit but afterbang shit is just poser.

I've been having some problems with my 3's too.

I've narrowed it down to what I'm doing wrong.

Do NOT spot your landing until you are ready to complete the rotation.

Follow through the rotation by looking over your shoulder. When you are near completeting you're three, spot your landing and your body will natural bring your skis around and cease the spin.

For me, I tend to stop looking over my shoulder at about 180 and look down spotting my landing before I finish rotating. Thus causing me to eat shit on a sloppy 1.

Wind up. Throw a punch. Follow through. Spot landing. Bam.

I would have had this trick bagged last weekend but thanks to my still healing ankle sprain, I fucked my foot up pretty good messing up the 3 the first time.

Good luck and keep us posted!

Dude for real chill. I only made that my name because I have afterbangs and I liked the sound of it. I don't think I'm steezy as fuck, just trying to get better at the sport. Funny how everyone in this thread doesn't really care about my name but you.
