alright i'm in the market for a new camera i've shot with numerous point and shoots and many film cameras. All in all i like film better because of the conversion factor for wide lenses and films quality to me is alot better. i'm seriously considering dropping about $900 for a moderately used eos 1v 35 mm. I've read alot about it and it sounds sick like 10 fps and all the custom functions. I was wondering about sequences for film cameras.

just post your opinions about the camera and film sequences

don't spend all that money on a 1v, instead get just the EOS1 and get a speed booster so it can shoot 6 fps. It costs around $300 total if you buy it used of B&H, you just have to wait until one pops up.

And spend that extra 600 dollars on a good lens or two. There's no point in buying a 1v if you have crappy lenses. Or you could even buy a used Canon 10d and lens for 900, and though it's digital, has quality rivaling film. There are super wide angle lenses for digital too, just not as many. Definitely consider digital if you're going to spend that much.

do you have someone who is gonna sell it to you for that cheap? Or is this you thinking you can get the 1v for that much?

Either way, like the guy above the EOS 1 is a great option and was the camera of choice for many years among alot of the top photographers that shoot for the mags. Just make sure you look at all your options first.
