Where I live it is supposed to be -31 degrees tomorrow night and thursday morning with wind chill...

wind chill is bullshit, calm PURE cold is weird.

Yakutsk Russia has average winter temp of -41 F and a record of -93ish

fairbanks alaska, -65, no wind chill...throw a bucket of water off the deck and it freezes befor it hits the ground

^i dont live there anymore, i live 200 miles south of there..anmd it rarley gets that cold but its allways -30 to 40 below everywinter

damn thats fuckin crazy.....the coldest ive skied in here or seen was -30ish. its been getting colder here over the past few years i think which is weird.

it was -19F when i went to work this morning and i'm down in colo springs. it NEVER gets this cold here. whats the deal i like around 50F. i heard that it was -46F in yellowstone w/ out wind chill.

It's like -2C here... Were lucky the hills are blowing snow, cause mother nature sure isn't giving us any...

you guys i just had a 50 minute conversatin with the drive thorugh attendent about cheese sauce on brockly. thats soo godd but not like spinach in the cold

when i was 14 i fingered this girl cherise and then i let all the guys smeel my fingers for ten quid and she said i was history...does that make me history?

I've done this before. I live in vermont and last winter we had some seriously long cold snaps...-10 and colder. If you get a cup of really hot water, not boiling, but really hot, and throw it up in the air, it will freeze before it hits the ground. Pretty cool stuff.

no it won't do anything the hot water won't freeze either, it turns into a cloud. But we set a pop can outside and it didn't even blow up and dumped one and the same thing, nothing

When i was like 11 my school went on a class trip to Jay Peak on a kinda windy day (probably like 15 degrees w/o windchill) and me and some friends of mine were riding up the quad and this wind came ripping up the valley below and hit the chair (which sits right on the ridge) and the chair started bending backwards to the point where we were pushing against the bar to stay in our seats. Then the lift shut down and we waited in the wind for a good 10 minutes, the coldest i've ever been...one of the kids cried.....it was me

yea i went up the lift on a day like that. with my coat undone. didn't seem bad at the bottom, but once we hit that ridge, holy fuck.
