their greatest hits cd is bullshit... love song isnt theirs, its a cover of the cure and the bonus song that is on the radio sucks dick. the old stuff was cool. now it just sounds like he is singing to get some ass.

new stuff sucks but i saw them a couple times about 3 or 4 years ago......they put on amazing shows, i think i puked at one of those shows as well, i can't remember.....but damn they're definately worth seeing

311 licks balls, they are so cheesey and the only good rap/rock is Rage and the Judgement Day soundtrack. Robert Smith must have wanted to shoot himself in the face when he heard Love Song covered.

 
i would hardly call 311 'rap/rock', you really have no clue, they may have some 'rap/rock' songs bu tthat is certainly not their core. I woul dimagine smith enjoyed the fact they covered Love Song, to cover someone elses music is a compliment to that group. go lick your own balls and dont ever comment on music again!

i love old 311, but i dont much care for the new stuff. and that greatest hits cd is bullshit they should have picked different songs and threw out lovesong. but there still a good band, grassroots is one of the best cds ever i still listen to it and i've had it for like 3 years.

 
oh I'm sorry, I thought Ese Martinez rapped on the records, what is he doing? besides sucking? and I wouldn't be surprised if Robert Smith never heard of 311 until they covered his song.

 
Im goin to 3 shows this summer, should be sick, they really know how to rock a show. Im a big fan, so I like all their stuff. They went in a different direction, but you cant keep putting out a blue album every 2 years.

its cool how the put a cover song on their greatest hits cd and two brand new songs, again on the same greatest hits cd. the song on the radio now is horrible. but, the older stuff was cool.

The funny thing is, I thought Music and Grassroots were ok when they came out and then I saw them in concert for the blue album, and then they just became more and more cheesy and lame, and let's just say their lyrics aren't exactly Dylan-esque. Music is all about one's own interpertation, and mine is, that they suck. What other bands do you like Al Bundy?

^The Urge, thats old school.... Anyway I just saw 311 last night for the fifth time. It was a good show but I've seen way better out of them. They played way too much from Grassroots and Evolver, neither of which I liked very much. Also, they didn't play Transistor, Do You Right, or (the clencher) Whos Got the Herb. Whos Got the Herb is the reason I go to those shows, seriously, how can you not play it?
