300 foot jump on a 550 cc

Ok here's the physics I think i'm right on this one.

277.5ft=85m

42.5tan30=24.54m (which is how high he got)

24.54=(1/2)(9.8)t^2

=4.9t^2

5.01=t^2

t=2.24*2

T=4.48

85/4.48=19m/s in the x direction

2.24(9.8)=21.95 in the y direction

19^2=361+21.95^2=V^2

=29m/s or 65MPH

thats assuming the angle is 30 degrees if its a bigger angle the speed will be greater, but there u go.

P.S. he went 80 ft above the ground

Soooo, have we decided if this is possible on skis?

I know Wilson ate SHIT on that 180 footer or whatever last season, but he was only off by like 10 feet....... Shall we get Jamie Pierre to add 100 ft?

no, i don't know how far they can go distance-wise, but its less than that. and they are only like 20 ft above the ground at most, going downhill the whole way. its an entirely different scenario.

wtf

where is the backflip eh

you gotta backflip everything on a bike now a days

actually i believe the record for those olympic guys is like 700 feet or something crazy. And id say that guy on the bike was going much faster than 65

I'd have to say if hardcore ever needs a new definition, this would be it. 300 feet is just like insane, like if you fall, you basically die. That guy is crazy.

those ski jumps are made that you just float a tiny bit above the landing at any time-if you dont hold perfect form you hit the ground.

oh and those guys jump on 240cm 110mm skis-they act as wings.

He definitly trusted the physics of that one. Sooo perfect... halfway down the landing, had i just seen the landing i wouldn't be able to tell it from a 50 footer....except that he was going so fast.

wicked.

That is Really Really far, it looks like he's just floating in the air!!! SOOOO FAR.... He can almost jump a whole football field!!!

You know you're wrong by about 10 or so mph right? Ryan Capes went 230 or so ft. while going around 65 (don't remember exactly, haven't seen the movie in a while) when they clocked him. So you might be off with those numbers.
