3-ccd or HD?

are u talkingabout that sony hd cam that doesnt shoot with a 3ccd and is like 1200$? i think thats a sick cam but it depends on what u want, because the colors wont look nearly as good, so when u compress an edit on the comp or a trailer and u dont utlize the hd capabilities then ur gonna have basically the footage of a single chip cam, but then again on a full tv ull get a clearer shot because it is in 1080i

Most HD camcorders out today use 3 ccds to capture the image anyways. I believe the question you mean to ask is "dv or hd?"

And to be honest, unless the resolution is that big of a deal to you. I would ust let the technology of hd get a bit better and go with any of the prosumer SD cameras out these days.

i dunno, i think its better to get a nice dv over a very low hd, that probably doesnt have as many manual features etc, as aposed to the dv. Also hd is much harder to edit with, get a nice dv

i just got my panasonic gs500 3ccd camera the other day and i absolutley love it, the quality is exceptional and its a great price, 700$..............

the thing with HD is that it requires many accessories like a new hd compatible tv and computer, editing software and shit like that, your hd camera will come out to be alot more than you hoped to, its better to stick with a reliable 3ccd camcorder if your not a pro, if ur doing a movie then yes do use an hd camera, but if not stick to 3ccd
