270 onto rail

good advice but you also wanna work on sliding unatural first. That video is good but im not sure how many people on here speak french

Rough translation:

Arrive along the axis of the rail (straight at it)

Focus on the rail during the spin 270' or 3/4 turn

Once you leave the kicker, don't turn your shoulders but let your feet lead the rotation

Keep looking behind until the skis hit the rail

Once the skis hit the rail, look towards the end

yeah, just go for it, only advice i can give is look at the rail below your feet till you touch down.

I gave a translation, it's not exactly rocket science, the vast majority of people will have just learnt themselves by having a go at it

this is the way i do it and the way tj shiller taught me how:

spin a 1 and shifty the last 90. it makes it really easy to pretzel and it looks so sick too

start on box rails so you dont hit your precious items if u over or under spin. adn it builds more confidecnce so u can do them on rails

when i learned em i found going as far (out not up) as possible before touching the rail makes it the easiest to dial the rotation. as far as which way to look, i think it comes naturally.

i would say just try to go as straight as possible on the approach so u get centered on the rail that is if u have it on boxes pretty much dialed i would learn on boxes first if u dont already have it

good way to think about it, specially for pretzels, thats exactly how i do them. just never thought of describing it that way.

anyhow, 270s really arnt that tough. sliding unnatty is SO easy. whats hard, is actually jumping and turning to land it. by spining on, it almost gets easier.

but yea, nice wide box, LOW. decent lip, you want some pop.

come in low, ready for the attack. at the lip, pop, bring your hips around. you should be able to look down/back and spot the rail. this helps you stay lined up. once you hit, your head should naturally just float around, and youll prolly 270 off. youll almost certainly slip out onto your hip, or spin off the box and fall. either way, expect to take a couple diggers before you clean them. they are super fun though. go for it!

try it switch first so u can watch the rail the whole time u spin instead of forwards where u go blind for half the rotation
