this year i've been really practicing 270 on to urban rails with a 270 off.. my question is, which way is considered the norm, and which is a 270 lip?
I approach the rail from the left side, and spin left. on a angle to the right so my tips of my skis come over the rail. is that the normal way of doing it? also is the other way easier? I have pretty much got these down and now I am working on a 270 pretz off.

pretty tech stuff right there. and yes, what you're doing is a lip 270 on. get the lip 2 pretzel 2 off and make a superunknown. If you got a lot of other stuff you'll might have a chance

is super unkown the name of the trick? or just no one has done it? i can do it on boxes with an urban lip on but not rails.

SuperUnknown is the name of the Level1-sponsored am competition, in which Lip 2, Pretzel 2 out is a favourite trick.

And practise getting the spin on boxes, and balance, the make the transition to rails.

hahaha no superunknown is the level 1 contest trying to find the best am and the winner gets to film with level 1

ahh got ya, i never really knew much about this stuff, i just ski and learned stuff solo really never looked into specifics until this year

you are doing a lip 270 on. that means that you are spinning away from the rail to get on, and you bring your tails over first.

personally i like lip 2's. they looks really sick and they are satisfying to land cleanly, especially on urban style set-ups
