270 on - too wide stance

I can do 270 ons but I need to have a really wide jump and I carve my leg to the inside like crazy. (I go from a wide stance to almost a pizza and jump)

But for ride - ons and rails that have a narrow or rutted out jump, I'm screwed.

I noticed some people can do em without the really wide stance (french fries). Is there any trick to doing them like this?

And when are you suppose to throw your spin, like practically on the jump (which is what I do) or after you feet leave the jump?

Thanks for the help. Maybe this is a stupid question.

just force ur legs in. i have the same problem, it just feels weird but ur 270 should work out just as well.

just have 2 pop harder and then set ur head around right away around skis will whip around . same for rails that are taller than the lip

And to add to this -

should you look down at the rail while your spinning? Because when I do I can normally get it, but I heard somewhere that you should not be looking down but when I don't look down I sometimes miss the center of the rail.

do what works for you really does it matter if looking down works and your not supposed? brett farve throws off the wrong foot and hes the greatest qouarter back in green bay history?

can't argue with that logic

start your rotation with your body while on the snow still , but don't rotate your lower body until you are off the snow... pop hard, and spin. I look at the rail.
