270 lipslides

i was thinking today that the video of chris coming in from the right side and spinning a 270 to the left wasnt really a lipslide. Wouldnt it be more like a lip slide if you came from the left and spun to the left becease then your tails would have to go directly over the the bar in the first 90 degress of the spin then just floating the last 180 on the rest of the rail, coming in fron the rightside in my opinion is way easyer and more natural so that doesnt make sence for the natural way and the easyer way being labled as a lipslide thats more techinical

I agree. No matter how much you're spinning, the tails have to go over the rail first in order for it to be a lipslide.

In inline skating it's defined by whether you're spinning into or away from the rail. Since Chris is spinning into the rail (coming on from the right, spinning to the left), I'd just call it a 270 on. If he were spinning to the right (i.e. lipslide), then he's going on to the rail blind- in inlining it's called a truespin.

if simmers sees this he will disagree. He says that it isn't. here is why I hope i get this right. if you are comin in from the right and you slide right foot forward naturaly you must look at how you are sliding the rail. if you come on 90 regular slide it is nothin. if you come on 90 lip you are sliding unnatural so so it is a lip. look at snowboarding. if you are 270 on from right spining left then will end up slideing unnaty so it is lip. if you 270 on from right spinning right you will end up sliding reg so it isn't a lip..

I still don't know what to think on the subject cause everytime I talk to simmers he just confuses me more on the topic
