25 highest paid and 25 lowest paid jobs in america

So much school for most of those jobs.. so it just makes sense you would be paid alot for them.

no one would trust a long haired Mexican.

And those numbers are not exactly right because they don't include tips and overtime and bonuses.

Rhinehart might be German but Jose the gardener who is your real dad is straight out of Tijuana.

ya like bartender was on there but those guys can make some money with tips. It should figure out based on gross income.

ok hate to break it to all of you but a bartender is not gonna compare to these jobs.

they might do ok but dont compare that to a CEO or surgeon

Anesthesiologists make shitloads, but their insurance is soooooo friggin high its not even funny. The income listed for them is inflated due to the fact they pay out their ass for insurance.

yea but isnt all they can do is save up for retirement if there always going to school/in the hospital?

id rather have fun now and after retirement then only after

only prob with doctors is loans- my nieghbors make 350,000 plus combined and said it took them a few years to pay off- now they live in 7000 sq ft house though

ski patrol/lifeguard was one of the lowest. ski instructors make a good amount of money - rich people will tip hundreds of dollars sometimes.

a quote from tyler durden-

"we do jobs we hate, to buy things we don't need."

i'd rather do something i like, and get paid for it

nice cheif executive, that's what im gonna do in the long run.

lets see i've been a: prep cook, food prep, dishwasher, bar aid, waiter, ski patrol, cashier

i feel like the numbers they gave were low for most of the jobs.

ai traffic controller has the highest stress of any job, you literally have thousands of peoples lives in your hands every day, i high doubt you wan that job, it's not that great of a job just because of what you have to go through everyday. oh yeah, and im sure your liability is through the roof.

the average wage for harbor pilots is between 200,000 - 300,000 that probably didnt make the list though becasue the field is too small

and i bet you would have to make so many quick desicions and have to be "on" the whole time your working basically no down time, or time to just go do w.e

no the average is around 67-70. Some do make a lot of money though but as an average for people who have completed the merchant marine training and are harbor pilots it is not the same.

bar tenders make alot considering they dont have to go to school or anything. im not comparing it to the highest paying jobs that require a college degree.

i didn't look through the list, but for a class last year, i had to look up jobs to do with power and energy (name of the class) and i ended up picking windmill engineer/technician or w/e, and the starting salary was close to $80,000. u get to be outside, and most likely travel to some nice places, all while helping contibute to alternative energy.

who cares what the highest and lowest paying jobs are

as long as you love your job, and you can live on the salary, then that's the best thing you can find

i'd rather live happy and have an average income then hate my job and get stressed all the time and earn a ton of money

What if you loved your job and made a lot of money.

Your logic seams like an excuse to be unmotivated.

But to each his/her own.

No, I do not think that's what she was getting at all. If you loved your job and made a lot of money, then more power to you. And if you love your job and make an average amount, how is that an excuse to be unmotivated?

More like if you loved your job and didn't make enough money to survive. That would be unmotivated.
