funny how different the experience is... I basically worship CT 3.0 (Mana 3). I feel they are one of the most versatile and balanced skis I ever skied on, and I worked in a ski shop with access to a big demo fleet... I agree they may lack a bit of playfullness, but at the price of that they are hands down one of the chargiest yet still playful freestyle skis on the market

you mean you rode and like the actual mana 3 right? not the ct 3.0 that was rebranded as mana 3.

I spent time on both, around 80 days on CT3.0 (latest season from atomic plant) and now around 20 days on Mana 3. They feel almost the same, Mana is just a touch stiffer. Or probably my CT3.0 just softened after 2 seasons.

ok cool, i’m gana grab a 2024 pair when i see i good deal. i know it’s dumb to waste my money on a top sheet but i just hate the 2023 top sheet even though those are like 450$ rn.

Hmm, is the new Reckoner 124 the black one?

Ahh.

Wonder what that 114 rocker profile look like

And wonder when the 124 is revealed

look at the bottom left of the picture. Seems more like a demo showing the build inside but also could possibly be it.

Why is the recommended mount line so far back???

I think that's mostly from the angle, I've got mine mounted on the line and it feels really good, definitely not the usual 2-3cm back from center but it's a good feeling spot

fixed cuff tech inserts lives on

Something you will see more of I believe! It just makes sense for a lot of skiers. We have the Recon 140 BOA in 24/25 with a tech toe and then there are at least 2 other new boots in 25/26 I know of using a tech toe in a fixed cuff boot.

Yeah this is dope. Seems like nothing to lose... This boot now saving nearly a grand of aftermarket $ between coming with a ZipFit and CAST selling the tech insert mod for like $300.

EDIT: Sorry Tom, I realize you are involved with k2 and not Fischer... you may have no ideas about the below...

Looks like the new RC4 has light weight buckles, is that correct? They kinda look like the buckles on my hawx ultra xtd

Have you heard anything about a touring boot with a zipfit liner? On that topic... how does the Fischer ZipFit compare to a Gara?

Yes, compared to the current non DYN version - looks like lightweight buckles - Powder7 has them up live on website now

I guess there are more Shift like bindings in the works..?

Trab had the TR1 (?) that needed weird boot mod or weird inserts on the heels, if they changed that heel pieces to accept normal heels they would have had a solid offering.

I forgot about the Marker Duke PT things, how do they sell? Somehow I can not take that serious..

they did just that prior to this season. There is also a rumor that ATK is to release some new harder charging tech binding, though no info is know thus far. Time will tell eh

I don't get that trend. How does it make sense? What is their intended usage?

[tag=154780]@tomPietrowski[/tag] correct me if I’m wrong or missing a thought but It completely makes sense, 90% of people touring don’t truly need a fully moving upper cuff, the only time that cuff comes into play is on flat ground while touring which is pretty much never. So it actually makes a ton of sense to have a tech toe and bomber downhill shell to get the best of both worlds.

This is definitely not true on the east coast and there are plenty of people who tour here. After getting a boot with walk mode, I will absolutely never go back. I’m glad my resort boots have a fixed cuff but touring without walk mode sucks ass when you’re going over rolling forested terrain…not everyone is doing switchbacks up an alpine face

I think the Duke PT is a great binding, but for the right use. Most out there will compare it to other options like shifts, CAST, etc. because that's just what we do in this industry. But really the Duke PT is simply a super strong skiing binding (I mean really, it's one of the dampest hard charging bindings I've ever skied, and does ski vastly better than a shift) for mostly alpine use that just happens to have the ability to convert into a tech binding for some uphills. It's not what most need and some buy without really needing it, but that's not a bad thing necessarily.

Can someone answer where is this boot sits compared to the others in the lineup. Like is it the same shell as the pro model just with a unique graphic?

[tag=154780]@tomPietrowski[/tag] can give more insight if I miss something but it’s a totally new boot. A 130 with a wrap liner doesn’t exist in the lineup as we speak. The current team one is a 120 with a tongue liner so it’s a totally new boot. Definitely aimed towards that hard charging freeride person

Powder7 just put out a video on the K2 line.

The Reckoner 124 gets way more rocker and splay in the tail, but also more camber.

Alot better then the last gen, but not "hellbent" enough for my taste. It looks exactly like the K2 catamaran. So were just back to that.
