Yeah, for real. I was gonna put this in a different thread but i figured why not give it its own?

This friend of mine was caught shortly after he was seen driving 159 km/h over the speed limit in his dad's Lincoln. He's got a court date mid-june that could give him up to $10,000 in fines. His insurance, if he can get anyone to give it to him will be over $22,000 per year.

oh and he also could be charged with confinement since one of the girls in the car told him to stop and let her out and he didn't.

if they where in the us they wouldn't get caught, cops cant chase anyone going over 100. its endangering civilians or something like that
 
people are gonna call this a claim, but it's totally true.

my friend Dane got caught going 142 in a 35 on his motorcycle...and didnt even lost his liscense. He had to pay a 500$ fine, and thats it. Lawyers...

i hope your friend loses his licence for years, has to pay thousands in fines and goes to jail for a while. Thats just stupid, wreckless, and senseless. If he had hit a rough patch on the road or for whatever reason lost control of his car or another car misjudged him passing them or whatever, innocent people would have died. At that speed its not even a question, its pretty much a certainty. I know my comments might sound harsh, but when you know people whos lives have changed or ended because of some jackass impatient cocky fuck who got behind the wheel you'l understand. I have no problem with people speeding but thats just ridiculously excessive.

haha thats the bayfeild street one? they had a big thing on A channel news about it. my dad kept talking about how stupid he was for like a week.
 
yea man ur friend is messed up....speeding is alright if ur in a pretty straight highway or something and you know wats ahead and prob better if ur with one personmax any distractions is deadly at that speed
 
not sure how he got written up for racing, should just be speeding when there are no other cars involved but cops love to fuck people on that type of stuff

and im not trying to say its not a big deal, it is and he should be punished but i dont see how racing applies to the situation
 
yeah the cop read the radar and didn't believe it and then took it again. They caught him in our subdivision when he passed someone on a blind hill.

Yes, i personally hope that the judge in his case makes an example out of him, but don't tell him that.

The whole week i was thinking how lucky i was not to be having to go to 5 funerals.

Yeah no shit. He said there was a girl in the car too. He could be charged with murder if they crashed. Look at what happened to Nick Hogan. Stupid. Some laws are out there for good reasons, like speed limits that aren't 150mph...
 
isn't there something about once you've been charged with street racing you cant be charged with running red lights and shit???

this kid in my art class crashed his car into a tree the other week. drove past the cops going like 150 in an 80 i believe, and he didn't slow down, was going down a windy road in the bush, heads into this corner at thats a posted 30, right off the road into a tree. cops come, ends up with a fine of 300 i think, the towing charge, and 6 points on his license. he looks pretty sincere when he says he wont be driving too fast anymore. and he's pretty determined to fix his car.

Your face is foolish. How many feet to the mile? Yards? Inches? If you had to convert it somewhere, the metric system just owned you. How many miles to the pint, quart, gallon was he getting at that speed? Anyone?
