23/24 gear hype thread.

So yeah, that new rossi ski is the "sender free 110 ti plus". comes in 176, 184, and 191. 20m @ 184.

A bit bummed it's not a black ops 108, but looks sick regardless.

Also new Pivot 15 color called "sender", looks like a black camo-ish pattern.

Is it more sender than blackops? No twin tail?

radius seems small :(

Remember seeing pics of the Sender Free 110 and it doesn’t look like a twin tip. Looks like a similar tail to the other Sender skis.

How is the 2024 BlackOps 118 look? Less like the bottom of a Montana stream, I hope…

Agreed, too bad.

but those pictures I referenced do suggest some radical tail rocker…

Hoping there are 2 new skis coming out as I think they look like different skis to me. Fingers crossed!

They do don’t they… hoping for the same!

118 is a bit wide for Maine, tho not undoable

There isn’t and black ops graphics carry over as well.

Was just looking at the layup picture in that Freeskier article I posted and thought it was 3 sheets of rubber in that pic, not the 2 sheets in the tip/tail and metal sheet underfoot like the Sender 110 has. Looked again more closely and it dose have lighter tint to the underfoot section so it is indeed metal there. Boo!

That’s disappointing as everyone has been waiting 2.5 years for a middle width Black Ops. Guess we’ll have to wait see what Candide’s new lineup is like in that width range.

Candide will have a 101,111, and 121 line up

Sweet! His “proto” pics looked like they had more splay on the 101mm than the 21 and 22 CT 2.0 so that could be a ski that fits into the quiver…..

Thanks for the info!

Just observed some sollys with the BOA buckle irl. The knob sticks really far off the boot and is very plastic-y, I would for sure be concerned about busting that thing off. Come off the rail early once and scrape your boot against it boom that thing is gone. The cable seemed wicked rugged though, made of metal it’s not like bungee cord or whatever. I would be more interested if the knob was more low profile and made of metal

yeah, I think boa cables have always been metal, that the knob sticks out gives durability concerns, but I guess you also want to be able to tighten and loosen it with gloves on.

I think having the knob stick out is only at one place but the cables are low profile so if there is thought behind the knob placement it might not be that bad, and maybe better than with buckles?

Products like this are never thought of with rail skiing in mind, just saying.

Facts I’m just looking for a boot that won’t crush my instep on my weird bony foot, getting some new footbeds now that might help

I mean I mainly just ski rails in the park and this is the boot I have been wearing :)

I know the dial looks big but it actually gives more boot out clearance than a buckle and if it did get hit it’s designed to just pop off and then you just push it back on. In three years I am yet to knock off a dial and I have smashed them off plenty of things.

From everything I know this is just the new boot for next year. Could there be one for 24/25 possibly.

So far I haven’t hear that the krypton is going anywhere. I will see if I can’t get more info to confirm that tho!

any update on the dalbello boot?

Still nothing on the Candide skis??

I shared all the waste widths above, but not gonna be that guy just sharing catalog pics preemptively. Graphics are in line with his usual color schemes that he’s always done. Otherwise until we ski em at the next demo hard to say much about em.

Reverse camber on the 121?

Thanks, missed that.

I am mainly interested in everything around the skis. Who builts them? His own brand, sub brand of bigger player, .. ? Online only or also available at retailers? Investors / backers / partners?

The Revolts look to be switching up the graphics next year. Ross Tester posted a clip of these. Seem to be the 104’s if im not mistaken

Reverse sidecut Black Crows spotted on Callum Pettit's Instagram stories.

With an actual graphic by the looks of it..

We'll be getting a few of these for early release to sell come mid february just FYI for everyone!

I see the Mindbenders are making a strong play to keep the “best skis that don’t sell well because of bad graphics” crown for another year.
