22/23 gear hype!

Maybe it's just me but I hate it when the main visual of a graphic is placed where the bindings and boot will cover it up.

It's supposed to be here, it's just an accent. The money maker are the bases.

The main visual is the racing stripes! I think you're thinking backwards! ;-)

When does 23 / 24 gear hype start ?

Haha give it a couple months but honestly I’m guessing it’ll be soon. The industry is releasing shit sooner and sooner. Also I know everything for this season is all going up in price!!

Not Sure about that. Prices went up for F22 (this coming winter) but we are holding prices steady for F23.

F23 is going to be huge though! you guys will be so stoked with what's coming and then even more hyped in F24!

If I’m being honest every topsheet is mid this year. The Vishnu leaks, Icelantic, armada, and especially line. The tw pros look like fire and ice condoms like come on.

Dont know if anyone heard Tanner on his ig live but there’s a new magic J UL coming either mid season release or 23/24 winter! So damn hyped for that ski! It’ll also have smeartech in it

would you say they are as tight over the instep as the SMax was?

Definitely less tight. One thing I thought was cool (I'm a boot fitter that got sent a pair of the S/Pro Alpha 120s) you can see the 2nd buckle is a lot higher and is more functional for locking back the heel. That said I found the heel pocket to be wider and less precise for my skinny heels than the Mach 1s. The Salomons have a way narrower cuff though. It feels kinda weird that the cuff is tight and the heel and forefoot are a touch loose. I threw in a zipfit and that made the cuff tighter and the forefoot looser, but YMMV.

Welp, this has definitely reassured me that I made the right decision by buying a fresh pair of SMax 130s for $370 last week.

I just saw the Recon Team in the Blister interview video.

Pretty cool and unique idea having the tech toes but no walk mode or heel inserts. I honestly think this would work pretty well for me as I don't tour far and use Shifts.

I don't need new boots but am tempted to get some just for the novelty.

Dalbello Kryptons are this way, tech toes but no walk walk. I have them and I'm stoked about them. All the stability of a resort boot but you can tour with them. I'm using shifts as well

did they stop this with newer models?

sweet, might end up in these sometime. I know it’s not possible but a pin insert boot with no gripwalk sole and no walk mode would be my dream boot

They’re badass boots. I’ve skied them and loved them. [tag=154780]@tomPietrowski[/tag] might be working on your dream boot tho just sayin ?

Yeah pins, no walk mode and alpine soles, we have it in the Recon Team this fall :) and also maybe a few more in the works

22/23 setup. Skis are already ordered just waiting for a good deal on the raw and forza pivots. Hyped.

That's handy to know.

They look good

I've never had a boot with gripwalk soles. Is there a downside to them like they don't ski as well by not fitting with bindings nicely?

In comparison to a dual-density 5355 sole (what is normally on ski boots), there's honestly no downside to them, as long as you have a binding that accepts GripWalk soles.

no not really, i’ve just got a sweet race ski setup I want to use for my CSIA level 3 but i has older non gripwalk bindings
