even on my trips 1-2-3 times per year to misc places in europe I've even yet to have that wide as a daily, its either ice, or pow... or rain and pow gets skied out FAST.

Eh I kinda doubt he leaves. Atomic seems to treat him super good. I think the name change is just to shorten it up because the line up is so big now.

I pretty much daily a 108, and I'm happy with it in pow. BUT, I also have a 118 at a longer length that is just that much better on deeper days. But I just ordered a 102 last night.

Atomic has plants in both places so it’s still one of their own production facilities. Have seen Fisher sometimes change between their Austrian and Ukraine plants for various reasons without issue.

I'm so stoked about the weight haha! I feel like there are plenty of 2000+ gram skis that have a similar shape and rocker profile and fill the niche you're talking about really well. But at that 1800ish gram weight, this has the potential to be such a sick 50/50 or even dedicated touring ski, and there are a lot less skis like that on the market right now. I think it hits a rad niche that's needed more competition for years.

I got out on the demo today in a lot of mixed conditions and am pretty impressed. Such a similar shape to the old blog but with some much needed backbone underfoot. I never thought the weight was holding it back even on a steep icy groomer they use for racing at Copper.
