Feschies I hope thats a joke. If your not joking I have about the exact oposite view on where skiing should go style wise. No pencil, no huge spins. I would take a nice cork 5 over anything over a 9 hucked.
I am serious. Do you really think that it is harder to do a "sylish" or "corked" 540 than a fast spinning 1260? It looks so cool when someone spins really fast. I think the whole "grab" thing is getting over done. Plus when you ski, proper form is upright with your knees very close together and skis parallel. All of the hunching over is making skiing look bad. I personally like the look of a lot of aerial manuvers. The body is stiff and in proper form. When I spin, I keep my knees together and occasionally will try to do the mute grab which is the only grab I think looks cool.
I really hope that free style skiing does not continue in this direction becoming aerial skiing. I like to see one of thoes aerial guys throw a 810 to a rail
this is a quote about some guy that did a 1080 with 4 baackflips and why its not a legal more in FIS"the reason would be that Chojnacki's jump was simply too expert. The sport's governing body, the International Ski Federation -- known as FIS -- does not permit its athletes to attempt anything more complicated than a triple flip in meets. The quad "is too difficult and potentially dangerous," explains Jeff Chumas, manager of freestyle skiing for the Salt Lake Organizing Committee." thats a quote from that artical some one posted. man i hate FIS they are holding skiing back. i dont care if your not a big fan of arials(i am not its cool but not my cup of tea) but this is outrightly holding back progression.
