Id buy a 190-192-194 easy, maaybe even a 188

spent the days on CT 2.0 2021 188cm.... they feel so short, and not even true center mounted.

People have heard all about the durablity issues shift has had. Duke PT hasn't been out a long time, but damn does the binding look secure AF. It's heavy, burly and something I feel I could trust. Shift is something I will never buy because if I blow out of my binding going the speeds I'm going, it can end very poorly.

Fun Fact for the group...The original graphic designer of the Merlin ski, Chester Grays, who is my boss and the VP of Design for K2 Sports did these. While he doesn't have the time to design too many skis with us on the regular, we tapped him in to design the new Mindbender 108TI with Pettit. We had to re-do the files because when this original graphic was made all of the processes and computers that we have now did not exist. No copying old designs here, this is straight from the original artist himself.
 
Yeah I just don’t understand why big company’s choose to only make up to only 183 or damn sometimes 180.

Mindbenders were designed to be playful freeride skis. That’s not to say they can’t charge but you can also get all swervy on them if that’s your thing.

I have found quite a huge difference in the Ti vs C models though (obviously enough). Was telling my local rep it’d be amazing if the 108 was a carbon layup like the 116. With how well the carbon models ski as a damper playful option, I honestly don’t see much use for the Tit Anal in the 108’s.

two words... East Coast. We get ice and firm conditions and still want something a little wide. My vision 108 hate harder pack days while my rustler 10 charges like no other.
 
Mindbender 108C in fat boy sizes (186+193) and a Mindbender 116 Ti would both be good options. A 193 Mindbender 116Ti might be enough to replace my Rustlers... Mindbender and Vision are the decent shapes/skis in that garage. A MB 116Ti sounds like a better idea than a Vision 108 with a Blade backbone slapped on.

Yeah I would agree with both, I would love a 108C for sure. I know there are things in the works but I try to keep out of the ski stuff for the most part.
 
I would rock an ombre boot so hard. If it fit it might even be enough to get me out of three-piece boots haha. I really want to try that Mindbender boot at some point.

If you like the R3 Cy, I think the MB 130 could potentially work. Ive talked to Tom about this but Ive had probably... 7 or 8 pairs of boots in the last 365 days, because I want something that fits right out of the box (I can do work to them but Im too lazy). So far, the R3 works best for me with a quick liner mold. BUT, I did ski the MB130 and its a fantastic ski boot that is definitely more generous in its volume than the numbers would indicate. The only issue I could potentially see 3-piece loves run in to is the instep, because its definitely not as roomy as an FT or Roxa. But I think K2 has done a fantastic job overhauling their boots, the MB series is one of the best selling at the shop I work at!

I also agree on the 116ti, it would be such a good ski. That shape is dialed, just not the best inbounds ski due to the construction.

Unsure if this is in here but anybody have any info on when the new vishnu stuff drops? Want pair of wets and don't really wanna settle on something I done think I'd really like
 
Yeah, as Weaz said, that name is taken. It's bad enough when the big brands take names the indies are already using (looking at you Elan) but a smaller brand like Surface should be able to google "Cleaver Ski" and see that there's an established model and come up with a different name.

Graphic is fine, shape looks like the old G3 Synase which was an... odd... ski.

That ski has sooooo much taper, even more than the synapse I think. Are there any skis with more taper?

I could totally see someone forgetting which completely irrelevant and forgetao ski company’s cleaver they were talking about.

I’m pretty aware of the Indy ski brand scene and honestly had no clue either were still producing skis.

Yeah, I’m not saying they should have known off the top of their head, but part of naming any product is doing due diligence. It’s not like it’s that obscure, the FWT was won on it last year, and again, the most perfunctory of Googles brings up a bunch of results.
 
They should have to field a big mountain skier of their own to compete against Freeland for the skis name.
