20somethings w/ a career in the rockys

alright ns I know some of you have made it out of your parents' basement and into the "real world"- have any east coasters successfully made it out west? where are you west coast rippers living? do you like it there/what kind of job are in? I'm in my last semester and ready to make the transition, looking to find the best place to live and work (shooting for a engineering job preferably).

I'm from Minnesota and Made it to Mammoth and am living quite well as a web programmer. Last year I worked as a Marketing Coordinator in Colorado but I prefer CA so I left and went further left.

That being said, I know some of the engineers here for the water district. I have a friend that does crazy stuff for the forrest service...

It seems as though if you have a speciality in something, you can make it wherever you go as long as you are willing to wait for the position to open up. If you want to do it. Do it. Just understand that you may be a lifty for the winter till the position you want opens in the summer.
