They were going well until this last round. Then they absolutely tanked. Nobody wanted to see Vegas, Dallas, Carolina, and Florida.

They aren't even interesting teams, and besides maybe Joe Pavelski, none even have any players who everyone collectively want to see hoist the cup.

but once again, the teams with broader fanbases and more interesting history all fucked up in the first two rounds... How much more interesting would it have been if it was Edmondon - Minnesota and Toronto/Boston - NY/NJ?

Could have been worse. Could have been fucking Seattle vs Vegas for some dumbass reason.

It was about 99 american degrees in Vegas during game 2. Fuck all that noise...

Don't forget about Canada... they suck at teams too...

Especially Toronto... all hype and yet they choke harder than any team I've ever seen in my life - and I'm a sharks fan.

tbf the Expansion Draft set them up pretty nice with some of those players they have. No one would've guessed they would go toe-to-toe against the Caps in 2018. Management seems like they know what they want and they know how to get some good players to some degree, But Vegas to me reeks of the same old bullshit that the NBA has where they want to build superteams or something. All of the best cup-wins in the past history have been teams that have been just straight-up deep with talent and grinders down to every lineup. And yeah: Fuck Toronto.

I just want to see my Wings get back into the mix, is all. We have a fun team again.

i'll be honest even as an avs fan i don't get the vegas hate. people who think they were "gifted a team" must not have seen every media outlet shitting on their roster right after the expansion draft. they've shipped off a few fan favorites over the years but that's part of being a competitive team. happy to see the west getting it done. go knights

Bro people had no clue he was gone and injured. I was looking up live updates on the phone. People around me were going nuts for Mathew…… he wasn’t even on the ice lol.

when he came back in the fan base went nuts.

but he was clearly playing hurt. You could consistently see him hanging his arm and just avoiding hits and not taking big swings with his stick. He is injured. No doubt.

The NHL was bragging about how game 1 of the finals got 2.8 million viewers in the US. If Toronto was in the finals there would be 2.8 million viewers in Toronto alone and easily 10 million viewers in Canada alone (about 1/3 Canadian watch the NHL regularly or semi-regularly, apparently).

Wings are still in it! Finally watched the highlights from last night, what a game. Lucas Raymond deserves every dollar he wants in his new contract. Ken and Mick had some iconic calls last night too.
