Has anyone been on a pair of 2020 candide 3.0's?. I am really considering this ski at the moment, as it's on sale on a local shop. The website advertises the ski as playful and freestyle oriented. Curious how this ski will perform in Japan pow as i'll be there for 2 months. So far the site only has the ski at 184 and i'm about 6 feet tall, should I buy the ski? (Planning on competing in freeride competitions in NZ as well)

Do you mean this years ski? If you do, I’m 6 foot and ski the 184, it’s awesome. It’s playful but not too soft so you can still push it decently hard. I mounted it at the Candide line and it skis perfect

Yeah this years, can you give me a quick review on them?, just to know what to expect. I have more of a charging/freeride style but come from a freestyle background, and I’m looking to do lots of pow skiing in Japan, you think I made the right choice?

It’s a directional twin shape. It’s 112 so it has decent float, and like i said it’s on the stiffer side so it can charge. It’s more or less a slimmed down CT 5.0, which is an absolute bruiser. Fun ski, you can do pretty much anything on it

I've got this ski aswell. It's on the stiffer side, I'd say 8/10 but it definitely has the rocker and flex to pop out butters. It charges nicely, and feels stable going super fast and on landings. Carves well for it's waist size, I'd reccomend.
