It's my 36th season in Jackson & I'm sold on the Kartel 108 after demoing many skis Except the Kartel 108. I want to order tomorrow...I vowed to never buy a ski without testing it first.. The closest hill is Big Sky 3.5 hrs North w/ out storms( or Pass Closure). Please ON3P get someone/fleet ur skis in Jackson. I've met 4 people all w/ Kartel's 108's this season & they all loved them & never skied them before buying.. That says it all! One guy said it was too stiff. I'm old school now 55yrs old, Tele skied Jackson & Backcountry big in the 80's & 90's. No more jumps for me but my 1st love is Pow//Trees//Moguls/Steeps at times & then GS & Short pop turns to get down groomers when I have too. In that Order. I'm 5'11"+ and 185lbs. Expert. I've read the debate about length.. So I'm asking because I haven't tested the Kartel 108 yet should I go with the 186cm or 181cm? I'm looking to make my life on skis easier without sacrificing performance.. My current skis are (Wolf)Armada JJ's 185cm(My Powder Joy) & Rossi Soul 7 first year '13/'14 size 188cm.They ski short but love them too. I'm looking to replace the Soul 7 as my everyday ski up to 10" Pow. Don't want anything wider than 108 as I have my JJ's for that. Swing weight which very people discuss here also important. I can shred my 188cm Soul 7's on anything even small chutes(a bit tight in trees at times just have to try harder) amazing on moguls surprisingly for length (but as I see things it's more the skier than the ski.). 186cm or 181cm? Really 2" make a difference? I heard ON3P ski true to size.. Please offer your thoughts. Enjoy...
 
Thinking about getting my hands on a pair of kartel 108s, but I'm unsure whether to go 176cm or 181cm.

I'm 5'7", 150lb and ski aggressively. I currently ride Armada al dentes at 178cm and K2 pettitors at 179cm, and like to throw floaty spins/ flips.

I would call or e-mail the shop. I'm tempted to say 186 because of where you ski, but seeing your current quiver I want to say 181.

The 186 will be longer than anything you currently own.

Damn, I was gonna make a guess they were Jordan a while back. The Black Cat Jordan 13swere my clue, but I wasn’t sure so didn’t wanna say something. But, this seems to add to my suspicion that they were for him. The logo is obviously a bit off, so I wasn’t sure...

Demo runs were limited as the upper mountain lift had shut down unexpectedly.

But, in short it is a fucking beast, although tameable. Definitely sought fall line destruction at speed before it truly came alive, but if a tank could be thrown sideways at speed, it's probably a W114 in disguise.
