2015 Subaru WRX for all the suby fans

I'm going to have to say that the new wrx is not far off from what audi is doing with their design theory, simplify and try to make it still look aggressive. I'm actually curious to see where subaru goes with this because bmw had way too complex of a design and they are finally calming it down again which is making much better looking cars.
 
I think it looks like a 2010 BMW. I dislike. I like bugeyes and I kinda was starting to like the new body style of the 12/13's. But now I love them.

I do not like the styling one tiny bit. The best thing I can say is that it looks more interesting than a camry, but the wrx has always had quirky rally inspired styling. Ever since they pulled out of the WRC they have been gradually turning into honda/toyota/other appliance company.
 
Yes, but the impreza is in the same category as a civic or camry. the WRX should be more than than what they've done here.
 
WRX's have always sold like hotcakes. It can be hard to test drive new ones because of the high demand, and subaru doesnt exactly produce them like crazy. Its not like they need to introduce them to a wider audience
 
yes we all know it's boring. but let's see past that and realize this thing will be fast as fuck with a DIT engine.

surprised there's not a huge CVT vs. 6MT debate yet, probably because this isn't a car forum hahahaha

I think that's basically been said about every wrx as it's been based off the impreza which is a competing pedestrian city car. I think it looks pretty sick and instead of comparing it to the older stis why not think of it as a turbocharged awd brz which still sounds good to me.

its very close to looking really good, like they had the right idea but just executed it horribly and thus made it look pretty bad. and i think for the most part they've been getting progressively worse the newer they get. the GC looked the best, the bugeyes 2nd best, first facelift and 2nd facelift were a tie, GE was worse, facelift was a slight improvement, 4th gen (gp?) was terrible. i will say the 2013 sti is one of the best looking IMO, other than that its pretty much been a gradual decline.
 
someone should make a manual cvt - that is, a smooth adjustable lever that controls the gear ratio in super discrete increments. itd be hard as fuck to drive but probably fun

anyways, a CVT is this car seems just.. wrong. counter-intuitive almost. and when theres a 6speed manual option, it'd be insane to opt for the cvt super slushbox
 
ya not a fan of this new one, i was hoping to buy one but the style really does nothing for me. wagons are my fav i was never really a fan of the hatchbacks i just never really got it. but thats just me, i have a 02 wag wrx and a 98 2.5rs coupe so those are what i find nice, also 02-05 forester xt.
