as a carolina fan i dislike cam's celebrations. he's always doing some goofy first down signal, or that superman crap where he pretends to tear off his jersey. he celebrates too often, usually things that don't really need celebrating. all while grinning with those big ol teeth of his.

lol about the butthurt packers fan calling the cops on him last week for taking their dumb cheesehead flag

yeah to be honest, I fucking hate over-celebrating shit sometimes. Its fine if you make a huge play, especially one that decides the outcome and dance all around, I don't mind that. But the dudes that like sack someone or make a tackle when their teams losing makes me rage. That dumb motherfucker Nick Fairley blew his knee out celebrating a sack back in like 2012/2013 and the lions were losing that game/did lose that one.

Id be worried about defenders going out on a mission to end that dudes season at this point. I can just imagine someone with a picture of cam in their lockers as they suit up staring it down like "im going to fucking murder your ass".

this. its so stupid...who celebrates every first down like its a touchdown? It just makes him look stupid when he loses. Obviously they haven't lost this year, but he's been doing those moves forever.

As almost necessary a loss is I really want to see 19-0. We came so fucking close last time and some would argue luck played an immense part (Eli somehow avoiding an almost certain sack and then that goddamn helmet catch) to contributing to our downfall. This is the Pats chance to give a big fuck you to Goodell and all the owners that live to hate the team.

For sure, I want to see the pats go 19-0 as much as the next person but I accept that they're human and some games don't work out how you expect. I won't be devastated if they lose a game, but I would've been really fucking mad if it was against Eli because I refuse to believe he is a talented QB and I think most of his success, especially against the Pats, comes from ninja receivers making absurd catches at critical moments.

You mean Stanton? That shit was so funny

Nah the one thing worse than Stanton was Palmer...see my link..i wanted to throw up when Palmer made that pelvic thrust.

This is sno, I'm just on caseys phone.

Palmer did a hip thrust like he was fuckin the seahawks from behind

He basically did in that game, minus the two huge turn overs it was all az. I like the hawks, my buddy's brother plays for them, but they're not that good this year.

I'm trying to articulate that I spend my hard earned money to watch and cheer for the Patriots, and not the New York Giants, so don't get it twisted you fucking asshole. That said, I am a fan of the league in general, so I can look at these games objectively.

1. The ODB touchdown was not fluky. McCourty took a horrible angle and blew it. Hold players accountable for their mistakes, please.

2. They have the ability to game plan around the offensive line. Bolden and White were held in to chip DEs & LBs instead of running routes. Gronk & Chandler spent time running timing routes, block then release. Michael Williams is an extra tackle every time he is on the field. The fact of the matter is Brady got spooked, held onto the ball too long, and stepped into pressure on many of his hurries. He also did not protect that ball.

3. I'm sorry, but the defensive backfield cannot do anything right. They can't play man, because players like Logan Ryan and Rashaan Melvin get toasted. They can't play soft zone or they'll get shredded. The only DB that came to play last night was Malcolm Butler, and it's about fucking time. 9 games in.

4. Brady's decision-making was poor and he has made more than "two or three" bad throws all season. You cannot throw that ball on the goal line where he did. That needs to be a bullet to the lead hip of LaFell, he threw it two steps behind. I'm sorry, but that mistake was inexcusable. The incompletion to Dobson was an even poorer decision. He waited for the route to develop, was pressured, and under-threw the ball. Throw it away and we live to die another day. HE got lucky, the Giants did not get lucky. The Giants dialed up the blitz and got to him, like any team is supposed to do.

5. The singlest best thing the Patriots did all night was that final defensive stand, articulated entirely by BB and executed entirely by Butler. Pats send out the goal line package with 1st and goal from 6, forcing Eli to kill a run play and check to pass. Butler makes an exceptional play to force an incompletion (though I don't know what a catch is anymore). Second down, Manning is forced to basically throw the ball away. Belichick forced the Giants hand, played the clock well, and aggressively used his time outs. it was genius.

6. The Patriots offense was anemic. Couldn't capitalize on a strip-sack (Chandler Jones is quietly becoming a Defensive MVP Candidate), benefited from an exceptional return by Amendola, and had no rhythm.

If you are comfortable beating a 5-4 NFC East team by 1 point, then good for you. I am happy with the win, but not happy with the effort. You simply cannot leave the game in the hands of kickers.

You are not entitled to be an asshole. We did it! Jimmy Hotfingers has been sticking needles in footballs for years. The only injustices done to the team were the severity of the punishment and the be-smudging of Brady's reputation. He is always and will forever be the greatest quarterback to ever live, but make no mistake about it, the Patriots did it.

Jesus man, relax, you're the one who brought up how many games you go to as a badge of honor. If you didn't mean it that way, then my bad, past experience has shown me that people who bring up how many games they go to normally do so as some kind of dick measuring contest on who's the better fan. Again, to be clear, if that's not how you intended it, I apologize.

1. Right, obviously Mccourty completely blew the play, I meant fluky as in that's not something that happens all that often. It's not like the Giants got the ball and kept moving and moving it on the Pats and were showing them things they couldn't handle defensively. It was just one really bad play by McCourty that the Giants were able to capitalize on.

2. True, but I still don't think it's unreasonable to expect something of a loss in performance from the O-line when so many guys have been getting hurt. They could have done a better job, and Brady could have done a better job, but I don't think it's fair to expect back ups and RB's to be blocking and protecting Brady as well as starting offensive linemen would.

3. I agree.

4. By bad I mean throws that should have been picks but weren't, and I can't remember that many of them, probably less than you can count on one hand.

5. I agree.

6. I agree. But losing Lewis and Edelman is certainly a part of that. LaFell and Dobson and whoever else was out there certainly aren't all-stars, or even particularly reliable receivers.

I don't think I ever said I was comfortable beating a 5-4 team by 1 point. They should be beating the Giants by 20. I said that I don't think they didn't deserve to win, that's all. It's not like the Giants were all that spectacular either.

Yeah, maybe we did it, but so has everybody else. Hell, everyone knows Rodgers does it, as Phil Simms kindly informed the world on national television. Making a big deal of it and punishing Brady and the Pats so severely and just generally the way he and the team were treated by the media and general public were still injustices. Sorry, but I still feel entitled to be a little bit of a dick. Again, the attitude is all tongue-in-cheek. Neither you or anybody else should take it too seriously. I certainly don't.

And I thought the Newton celebration thing was a response to getting sacked and danced on by the Titans? Didn't they at one point sack him then do a big celebration dance, so he was doing it in response?

Not saying I agree with it, but I thought it was more than Newton doing it for the sake of doing it.

theyre a VERY talented team but they keep finding ways to loose games. 2 failed 2pt conversions are a huge reason that game didnt go differently. we have had leads in every single game we have lost. our defense was balling out in the 4th and then somehow finds a way to fuck up at the most critical time. sherman got beat a couple times for big plays. far too much talent to be on the verge of no playoff chance.

Andy dalton is a little bitch. Seeiously what kind of man gets offended over a silly comment like that.

JJ Watt is the biggest hardo of all time. how many times do you think he rehearsed that line in the mirror before the game? hahahaha what an insufferable douchebag. Poor Vince Wilfork has to finish his storied career on a JV team with JJ Watt for a captain.

Yeah, JJ Watts a douche as well. Hes starting to "build his brand" like Suh tried to do because he knows he will never win a ring with his current team.

Just seems like the NFL is too serious, people need to chill out. Dalton is a crybaby for letting that awful banter get to him. The texans are barely .500. Big words coming from a bottom feeder lol.

"I wake up at 3AM to go to the gym, because the whole world is sleeping" - clearly lacks a concept of time zones. also, it really doesn't matter if you're working out at 3AM if you take a nap when you get home... that doesn't make you better or a harder worker, that makes you a douche-bag. The guy is a walking, talking motivational poster out of Sky Mall. You have all the talent in the world, shut the fuck up and stop trying to make sure everyone knows you are the hardest worker on your team.

You don't hear Tom Brady bragging about how he's the first player in the facility to workout and watch film after 15 YEARS IN THE LEAGUE! Mother of God....

lol @ that skymall reference. its too fucking true.

Daltons hilarious for saying it disappoints him for the integrity of the game. That's what bothers him about the current state of the NFL? Never-mind increasingly prominent issue of head trauma and coaching staff doing awful jobs of dealing with these injuries, Criminal athletes violently beating their spouses/girlfriends, Witchhunts, Comissioners doing all they can to preserve the jobs of those said criminals, etc. But yeah, JJ Watt calling you a ginger really is the straw that breaks the camels back and something needs to be done here.

Andy Dalton is a pussy. Deflect from the fact that you just put up 6 points on Houston, missed a wide-open Eiffert early in the 4th quarter that would've put them up a TD, and couldn't lead a game-winning drive with all the time in the world left.

JV team?!?! They have a chance at winning their division!! Lol

But i bet if you take away the cameras and media a very high percentage of pro athletes would be mega douches. A lot of them just put on an act for the media.

Cam Newton can celebrate however the fuck he wants, he makes millions of dollars to play for one of the best teams in the highest level of football possible. Let him do whatever, who cares.

Yeah no ones saying he shouldn't be allowed to dance around like an idiot if he wants to. They are just saying him doing first down dances after 3 yard scrambles in the first quarter is completely retarded and they hate him for it.

Ohh i see. Misunderstood.

Goodell now instructing the refs to blow plays dead anytime it seems like the Pats might make a big play. Absolutely unbelievable, the tyranny this team continues to have to overcome.

You know, originally I was thinking Gostkowski just missed the kick, but now that you mention it...

I'm glad at least one person isn't taking this too seriously. Thanks, man. But seriously, that "inadvertent whistle" was an absolutely ludicrous call.

Vikings fans were talking mad shit before the Packers schooled them.

Still think that loss in lambeau vs detroit shook the packers. I mean yeah the vikings are decent this year but rodgers is injured for sure right now and he can only dominate for so long till something knocks him out long term on top of the other injuries plaguing green bay.

NFC North is always pitiful along with the east, packers will probably win the division but have another short lived run if their players dont get healed enough.

Anf the packers still lost to detroilet lol

I'm cool with Detroit. Vikings fans just piss me off. I don't care if the pack chokes in the playoffs...As long as they sweep the bears and vikings.

tough night for kicking on both sides. It was a chilly night, and the wind blasts through that stadium, if it's coming from the open end. I was not surprised to see two missed kicks in that game.

Should that be degrading to me in any way? I like skiing more than fan-boying over a bunch of guys tackling each other. Do the best fans in the NFL get an award? Maybe they put it on their resume? Its just a cute little came and everybody is absurdly overpaid.

Take-aways from last night's game:

1. The Patriots need to put the best 5 lineman on the field. Marcus Cannon cannot get it done. Brady will get murdered in Denver with Marcus Cannon playing the blind-side tackle. Marcus Cannon's contract is useless, dead-cap money. What a waste. Rotate Vollmer to LT, cycle Fleming & Stork at RT. There has to be a way to have David Andrews & Bryan Stork on the field at the same time, because they are two of the best 5. From there, it should be a mix of Josh Kline, Ryan Wendell, Fleming, Tre Jackson, and Shaq Mason.

2. The defense is slowly emerging as a legitimate Top-10 defense in the NFL. I have openly criticized them as being a front-running defense, but they held it down last night. Well done. All while missing one of the best players in the league, Jamie Collins, for a third straight week.

3. What was that offensive play-calling? They didn't put together a single fluid drive until the fourth quarter where they ran the same Blount zone-run to the left side three plays in a row (Brady line call - "XEROX" copy previous play) then play action. Just not a well-called game by McDaniels. Need more 3TE, max-protect sets.
