also a big fuck you to Lombardi and the rest of the offense going on cruise control mode . the d-line bent all they could till they broke and Rivers fucked them hard and dry for 400 yards. what an awful week 1 showing. this team has a permanent hole in their feet from bullets. Fuck.

Oh, really? Never would have known after the way everyone spread their anuses and gladly allowed the NFL to stuff them full of the mind-numbingly stupid, absolutely nonsensical, and so blatantly untrue bullshit they were putting out there about the Pats and deflategate because you all were so desperate to mask your jealousy and find a way justify getting beaten by the Pats over and over and over and over again these last 15 years.

And goddamn do I love it.

I will maintain that 99% of the time, prime time, stand-alone games are garbage. Thursday Night Football & even some Monday Night Football games have been absolute garbage in recent seasons. What a joke.

Its too much football, we need to concentrate it. I'm fine with getting up at 8-9am to watch a game.

Falcons and eagles was a pretty good game I thought...

Oh, for sure. It went down to the wire. But, god, was that Niner's game terrible.

it was kind of laughably bad though, but yeah turned it off after the first half.

I have Carlos Hyde on my fantasy team, so I watched the whole thing haha

Let me preface this by saying I am a die-hard Patriots fan...

Why are Pats fans flipping out about the Bills? The Bills won a big game against the defending AFC "Finalists". It's exciting. Their fans & players can be happy. It makes the division more exciting. It makes the match-up enthralling. It is going to be an absolute blast. Can't wait for Sunday.

What do you mean by "flipping out?"

Everyone feels the need to "defend the wall" & point out that the Bills haven't made the playoffs since God knows when, Brady is 23-3 vs. Buffalo, etc., etc.

Who cares? This division just got exciting. It adds more legitimacy to ever Division Title the Patriots win from here on out.

Oh yeah, I've been hearing the same stuff. I agree with you, who cares, but I also think part of it is coming from the fact that now the Bills actually seem like a real threat, so Pats fans are trying to convince themselves it'll be as easy a game as ever.

I like the Bills a lot, and have a lot of respect for them and their fans, who are some of the best in the NFL. Buffalo in general has one of the best fan bases in American sports.

Tom Brady does not share your love for Bills fans. Can't really blame Tom though because we give him so much shit. Honestly, Kim Jong Un, would probably get a warmer welcome in Buffalo, NY.

My favorite Tom Brady diss from a Bills fan:

Viking fans, yall ready for sunday?

im ready for Detroit to go up 20-something points before halftime only to have them give up 404 passing yards and 3 TD's. Should be a good one.

Im ready for the queens to come out flat in the first half, then look even worse in the second half

But hopefully they decide to hand it to AP a little more than last game.

How you can only give him 10 carries is beyond me. He needs more touches if they want to win. Makes no sense to bring him back and not use him. And give him some runs from under center not the shotgun. Thats where hes the best

They also need to stop putting him in at running back in a shotgun, thats not his style. Every expert says "go pistol formation, put him 7 yds back and you're all set"

Yeah I mean I'm sure most players prefer playing against fans that don't give a shit than ones who do. Just a shame all that shit y'all give him and the Pats hasn't done much to help you. If anything, just makes Tom mad and makes him better, it seems like.

It's likely a function of the quarterback. If they don't think Teddy Bridgewater can be effective from under-center, then AP will never get to run with a full head of steam, from 8-yards deep. So much of what a professional quarterback does, happens between the snap and when he hits the peak of his drop. Young quarterbacks are effective from the gun because they watch the play unfold right in front of them. Guys like Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, and Joe Flacco (puke) are experienced enough to know where receivers are going to be, even if they have their back turned to the play on a play-action, 5-step/7-step drop.

yup, dude was a fucking disgrace.

Hats off to Minnesota although the late hits on Stafford weren't cool. Hard to find a silver lining in this one when the O-line doesn't give a fuck. Von millers going to murder stafford next week.

Sorry Buffalo, if you guys had a more experienced QB you would be a lot better. Some self-restraint would help as well.

I hope Williams is OK.

They really do. Seems like they invest in every position other than the quarterback.

And tru, that was scary to watch.

Sucks to watch the bills lose, I was hoping they would come up on top today. But at least my steelers got the W today.

Nah, it was pretty great. After all the shit Buffalo and their fans have been talking recently about how they were gonna beat the Pats it was pretty fantastic to watch Tom and co. go out there and do what they do against Buffalo: win.

Bills gotta learn that you shouldn't talk shit like that if you can't back it up. Even got the odds makers believing in them, unbelievably enough the Pats were declared underdogs.

You gotta admit as a pats fan, you were getting a bit nervous at the end. The bills went down fast but they fought all the way til the end and had a chance to tie the game.

i'm not a devoted bills fan (theyre just the hometown team) so I see exactly what you're saying haha. It's funny because on the local news after they beat the colts every single bills fan was like "WE'RE GOING TO THE PLAYOFFS!!!!"

Every year they think "its our year". I think they have a chance to do well this season..and if they didn't make as many mistakes I think they could have beat the pats today. But ya know they're the bills...and they tend to disappoint in the games that really matter

Only until I remembered my team has Tom Brady. And it's the Bills. So somewhere between 5 and 10 seconds. So depends on how you define "a bit."

No, they couldn't have. Exactly because they're the Bills and tend to disappoint in the games that really matter.

I'm trying to be as objective as possibly when I say this...

Regardless of how close the score got, the Bills never really had a chance. The Patriots ran out to a very large lead, capitalizing on 140 penalty yards, bad turnovers, and unreal field position. The game was never as in-reach as the score led on.

I mean I know exactly what you're saying but look at Dallas... In the NFL a team can play so bad but still capitalize on situations, which the bills didn't. Obviously the pats are better than the bills, I have red zone so I only watch the exciting parts so sometimes situations are out of context.

Red Zone is great, but it has totally ruined how we absorb football games, haha. The Patriots coached/played as poor a fourth quarter as you can, but it was never close.

We all pretty much knew that game was over after the first quarter and the comeback was an empty threat. However, the Bills could have easily given up, and let the game ride as the blowout it was shaping up to be, but they didn't. While I still think we are a few years away from the possibility of dethroning Tom Brady and the Pats, I think this team is going to be the best Bills team we have seen in a long time.

Credit where credit is due, there is something to be said for the way the Bills came back.

As someone who was at the game....It got really close. The Bills got the game within 5 points after being down 13-37 late in the third. The stadium was cranked and the pats had no answer to the bills offense in the 4th.

If Sammy actually caught the ball and not had it intercepted at the end there. There would have been over a minute on the clock and the bills would have had the ball on their own 45 down by 8......
