2014 Armada Al Dente vs TST

Both of these skis are labeled as a kind of one ski quiver, so is there any difference besides the tail rocker? And have the tsts changed at all this year?Sorry if its already been asked, I couldn't find it

They're very different despite both being classified in some circles as a "one ski quiver."

The TST has EST All-Mt rocker which gives it an exaggerated tip rocker along with a 4-dimension tip taper. The result is a directional all-mt ski that can charge through a ton of different conditions, still rip hardpack etc. However, being that it is so directionally designed its not the best for taking off switch.

The Al Dente has what Armada is calling AR Nose rocker, which is similar to EST All-Mtn rocker in that it's only tip rocker, but the rocker radius isn't nearly as long, nor is the tip height as high. I would compare it to a slightly more rockered Alpha 1 tip. It also has a traditional sidecut (no taper) making it a lot more bi-directional than the TST.

Not to mention the al dentes are super soft. Tip is a 4/10 tail is a 5/10 compared with the tsts which are 6.5/10 at the tip and 7 at the tail. Tsts charge hard. I haven't skied the al dents though, I assume they would be a fuck ton of fun
