2014/2015 gear thread

Im hoping that Saga will venture into making bibs next year. Something with a fit between the fatigue and anomie, kinda like the monarch, maybe a little more fitted, thats 3L 20k waterproofing.
 
You guys already have my interest, but making redux models of the Varisty, Purple Drank, and Tux suits would leave you guys with my business for life. With the tech you guys have now, and those flawless designs. . . .

I'm really liking the new tanner dakine stuff. I had his old gloves and they were surprisingly good for such a cheap glove so I may well get a pair of those.
 
Ha. If by similar, you mean not as cool, and not the tuxedo, then yes. It's a different kind of good, I just love that year with the varsity, tux, and drank/lobster.
 
Holy shit tanners stuff is looking tight after a few questionable designs over the years. The only one I'm not really feeling is his new jacket bit maybe I just need a more detailed view of it
 
I prefered the Ecto. If they brought the ecto back, it will be the only thing I will buy from them that isn't just a blank hoodie. That said, I don't really care if they bring it back or not. You could always just take solace in knowing that there is something cooler out there.

Dynafit beast 14 ( hoping the cost Is good as I really want these)

Scarpa boot with a auto hike/ski mode

New black crow ski ( julienne rengier is there shaper now and he has an awesome looking ski on the way)

New generation of airbag packs (arcteryx are involved so you know there good)

Salomon warden

Not sure if there is much around on this stuff but I'm sure the info will leak out gradually but this is the stuff I'm looking forward too.
 
Yeah. They don't have a canister and are multi use after repackaging the bag of course. The system they are going with sounds cool but I really want to watch one deploy and see just how fast it is. They will cost more initially but when you consider you never need to buy another canister they are real good value.
 
Pretty sure it will be another electric ducted fan airbag. And people seem skeptical but trust me, electric ducted fans can move a lot of air, really damn fast, and very efficiently. Plus it can keep throwing air in the bag should it have a small puncture from debris. There's associated disadvantages but I think they will be improved upon or eliminated with time.

If it isn't a fan airbag it have no idea what the hell it will be.
 
Spot on mate that's the system. Black diamond and arcteryx have been working together on it so I'm sure it will be very,very good.

^we mounted a pair of those at the shop I work at the other day, wasn't really impressed by anything by looking at and flexing it but who knows, could be sick!?
 
Since Tracker / Guardian, all bindings have been and will be a complete collaboration between Atomic and Salomon.

And all I can say about the Warden at this point is that it's not a tech binding.
 
Ahh so the warden is not the tech binding. I was told that was the name they had gone for. Good old salomon info lol. So have you had chance to be on the tech binding yet what ever it's called.
