2014/2015 gear thread

This ... I doubt they're the same ski as Andreas is on, I heard he was on something around 95ish underfoot (I think), anyway its something I don't think Rubens would be skiing that on.

I'm not gonna reveal details but there's a new Line Opus model coming next year... holy shit it's sick.
 
You can't say that and then not give us any more. Is it a redesigned Opus, or a 3rd pro model from Pollard?
 
Haha I just wanna get people hyped. I'm sure the catalogue will be in here soon enough, line always gives em out early.
 
It would be EVERYTHING.

All I have to go on is a shitty shop tech– who's legitimacy is questionable at best– telling me to, "look out for next year," when I suggested the possibility after talking to him about STH2s. I have looked high and low, but nothing else.
 
I'm pretty sure I read an article awhile back about Salomon and Atomic licensing Rossignol to use the Walk to Ride system. Lemme see if I can dig it up to back us both up on this.
 
Yea dude, I hate seeing kids in new gore-tex, like, "why cant you have shitty old gear? I'd be so much happier that way" it totally bums me out seeing them dry in the lodge at lunch.

Or old dudes; retired guys enjoying their retired lives spending money on skiing really ruins my day too.

But more than anything I'm worried for myself, i got a new Patagonia outfit for myself this year, and now I'm scared I won't be able to progress because I care about my outerwear more than i do my skiing! :(
 
Yep, along with Scott. And Lange/Rossi have WTR grip pads that are compatible with some of their boots. I have no idea if they are launching their own binding though.
 
Look also has rebranded Plums not for sale in the US, the "ALTI 12". Not necesarily speaking to WTR however it shows that this is a direction they would want to take their bindings

Took me forever to find it but there it is. So aside from the picture along with people saying it's going to be the 'Nighmahre', does anyone else have anything else that says K2 will be bringing out a successor to the Hellbent?
 
Yep it's the new hellbent. 136mm underfoot an huge rocker. Sounds like an awsome ski. Graphics are totally new from that pic too. K2 use the matte gloss tech from the petitor and they have all the old hellbent goodness in the graphic.
 
Next year Eric Pollard's pro model skis will be called Magnum Opus with 125 under waist and they will be way much lighter than this year Opus.

I hated my Opus for anything but untracked. I found them way too flimsy for crud/chopped up pow that we get here in the EC. However, my charging style wasnt built for them.

But the a bigger Opus would be sweet for cat days if anyone here gets them

I love the next year gear threads. It's unlikely I am going to buy any of it but I'm a gear whore and love reading about new tech and ideas.
 
I hope they go back to something like the EP pros. Everyone makes a good dual camber medium stuff powder ski. The EP was the only one of its kind.
 
I think that little spring loaded tab running vertically in the toepiece has something to do with it. Either that or that tab serves as the touring lockout... How it all mechanically functions, I'm still clueless. I'd love to see a pic of a boot clipped in.
