Next years Pipe Cleaner or I was thinking a TYW Pro as he has been basically only been using prototypes this summer from what I've seen.
 
This has to be some sort of record. I cannot remember any of the gear threads starting before Halloween. Not a bad find my friend. +k for you.
 
I was just about to post this too! It seems pretty early for 14/15 gear but it always fun to find the new stuff.
 
My guess would be just next years Pipe Cleaners, I don't see Torin getting a promodel for next season, not disrespect to Torin. Just armada already have a lot of park skis in the line up, two of which are already promodels, makes no sense to make another promodel park ski, and a pipe ski at that. Especially since the popularity of pipe skiing among your average skier is declining. Also Torin is till on the Armada AM team, meaning he'd be getting a promodel before a couple of guys on the Pro team.
 
meh, I mean most companies have already finished their 14/15 line by now (at least the bigger companies) and are already starting on 15/16, then creating possible ideas for 16/17. haha

I think it's cool to see random new stuff popping up for a few months before SIA reveals everything.

As far as I know Harlaut is also still on the AM team and he already got his PRO-jacket and skis..
 
It seems to me (and obviously I could be WAY off) that companies like Armada are only interested in doing what will generate buzz, and generate that $$$. Henrik has received 10x the attention T Wall has up until now, due to his involvement in team America: Fuck Yeah. Maybe after the Olympics if he crushes it, he could get a pro model something or other. They aren't about to make a new pipe ski pro model unless they know they can sell the shit out of it. I am sure we can all agree that the Al Dente will most likely be sold out by the end of the season. Besides, Torin is probably just stoked to be on Armada, part of the Olympics, and basically getting paid to do what he is very good at.
 
I agree but T hall was a founder of the company so he kinda made a pro model.

And Armada seems to get their main park skis and their pipe cleaners out before the first big comp.

and since this year they are having a few early comps in new zealand for the olympics and there is a lot of coverage on the team america athletes that helps.

ALso i think that chris logan should have been in consideration for the olympic team. because if they let in Willie Borm he is way better then him in my opinion
 
Torin is slaying right now and will continue for the rest of his career no doubt. This would be the perfect time for Armada to release a pro model with his name on it. I'm thinking that there is also a possibility that Tanner, being the cool dude that he is, may make a pro model back country ski. Major stretch there, I know. I'm just looking at possibilities. I think a TYW pro model would see a lot of success.
 
why is he using the next years skis so early? dont most pros usually ski this years stuff until at least december?

you're failing to see the point, it's not about us getting our cash loaded panties in a bunch to get new gear. Who doesn't love to see new designs and new ideas starting to pop up? is it hurting you somehow?

we get you're one of those "who gives a fuck what you look like skiing, just ski" type of guys but no one really cares here... nothing wrong with getting excited for new gear. haha

Its just another fantastic example of how most people on this sight are concerned about how they look, or what the latest shit is.

Its fucking retarded and I am sick of it.

As unpopular as it may be, its my opinion.

 
Which is fine, but a lot of us just want to see how the equipment is progressing and what each company will do next. I'm always super stoked on what companies come up with and it's hard for me not to spill the beans on what Atomic has been up to. To me it's not about how I look but more so that I really can't wait to see what each company has been up to and how they want to take the sport to the next level. Granted, it's a bit early but it's nonetheless on a lot of peoples' minds

Being stoked on gear and being interested in how products/designs is fine!

I guess I may have spoken a bit out of context, this thread may not be a good example of what I'm talking about so I stand corrected in that respect.

What Really fucking annoys me is the kids who's fucking parents buy them new gear every goddam year, or the grown ass fuckers who buy new shit each year and spend more time worrying about how they look, rather than fucking SKIING.
 
That is not a new pro mold for torin but there is a new pro model ski on the way from armada and it sounds pretty cool. Maybe not for all the park rats but for any one who enjoys the entire mnt it will be of interest.
 
There was a leak of their lineup apparently that showed a few things including that from what I hear. I dont wanna divulge too much more because its all hearsay and onenerdykid may not want it to be leaked but there are some cool things in the pipeline
 
God just shut the fuck up. You care much more how others look than how you look, we get it.

To many members seeing new gear and how they have changed from last year is very interesting. I could research the technical specs of just a few skis for hours on end. But, will I go up to mommy and daddy to ask for a grand to spend on next years gear? No, and it is highly likely that most of NS is the same way. You are making the same false generalizations that other grumpy members like to make.
